Grad_U's Greyscale continues to provide a platform for a very particular kind of sound where dub techno and abstract textural work pass through a monochrome lens. The Greyscale Exposure series has been started as a vessel for emergent artists who adhere to this aesthetic, and the third entry features four relatively new names to followers of the label. Stelios Vassiloudies opens the record up with the granular ruminations of twitchy micro house groover 'Another Time' while Jamie S. offers something crisper and moodier with the elegantly dubbed 'System Encounter'. Operandum's 'Equinox' takes the deepest possible path into submerged hypnosis, while Armin Bender offers the most classically-informed dub techno workout on '494'.
