Night Defined Recordings is an Austrian electronic music label based in Salzburg and founded by Juergen Vonbank. Its latest release comes from Serb aka Serban Ilicevici, a Romanian experimental producer based in Bucharest. We last heard his material back in 2017, when he released an EP full of seriously knackered techno on Cosmin TRG's Fizic imprint. An equally impressive collection of mainly leftfield cuts are featured on Night Recs 2: from the trippy subterranean shuffle of 'Broken', to the contemplative twilight funk of 'Cellar Meet' and then firing it up on the peak time techno fury of 'Random Trigger' and its majestic overtones throughout in the vein of Jeff Mills or Developer. Definitely one of our top techno picks of the week.
