To mark the launch of his Four Triangles imprint, ASOK has turned to debutant Oasis Pyramid, a mysterious producer embarking on a new, all-analogue adventure. The material he showcases here is predictably rough-round-the-edges, with the unknown producer making great use of analogue effects pedals as well as dusty drum machines and vintage synths. There's plenty to set the pulse racing throughout, from the poignant melancholy of opener "Tracking", where ascending melodies and wayward electronics combine to create a near psychedelic mood, to the industrial strength distorted drums and mutant motifs of "709". Also worth checking is "Prism", a deliciously hypnotic affair full of locked-in percussion hits, ghostly riffs and crackling, modular noise.
