The gold standard BBE always turns out worthy compilations and Clap Clap! The Joyful Noise is no exception. It is actually an unreleased future classic from Strata Records founder Kenny Cox that comes in association with DJ Amir's 180 Proof Records. The Detroit based Strata was influential back in the day and had a potent impact on the local youth. The opener sets the scene with a frolicking bossa groove complete with brad wave sounds and elsewhere are vibrant flugelhorn tunes, a 13-minute reflective odyssey and plenty of other lush broken beat and jazz crossovers.
