There is plenty of great techno out there this month and none of it is finer than this Three EP from JS Zeiter. It is all sublimed crafted stuff with soft edges but real dynamism. 'Scatter' is a dubbed out but driving opener with frosty chords rippling over the fat drums and icy hi hats. 'Silent Running' brings a mournful feel with yawning pads and sombre lead synths as the scattered, echoing hits and leggy drums work down low. After that bit of beauty comes the closer 'Absence' which douses you in warm ambient pads that suspend you in a dark night sky.
