Review: For hardcore soul fans, the tax scam label TSG Records is legendary. Finding original copies of the tunes it put out is all but impossible these days, especially for an affordable price, and so this new collection helps make having them all to hadn't a reality. It's is a one-stop shop for top-drawer rare groves, sensual sounds and fiery funk sounds that were all originally recorded around the ends of 70s in the United States. Ricardo Marrero & The Group opens up with the steamy South American sounds of 'Babalonia' and Lloyd Price shuts the whole thing down with the more swirling, airy and feel-good summer soul vibes of 'Music-music' and in between are plenty of gems.
