Review: A nice mix of funk, hip-hop and reggae influences go into the melting pot on the latest SuckaSide, with 'Even After All' proving to be a laid back, blunted jam that's backed up with some hard hitting, sturdy beat manouevres. On the edgier sounding flip, meanwhile, a female MC spits with impressive ferocity while a lovely warm - and somewhat familiar - analogue-edge loop works its magic. Both are key components for use at different points in the jam, some badly needed heavy weaponry that Donald Trump can't withdraw from service here.

Review: Suckaside made a fine debut back in September last year with a couple of funk tunes from the eponymous production outfit. Now the label follows it up with a sophomore 12" that again bottles up lots of historical knowledge with new school production techniques. This one hints that the producer has a love and respect for Liam Howlett and Ron Burgundy who form an unlikely alliance here. 'Kilo Of Burgundy' (feat Captain Flatcap) is all funky breaks and jazzy melodies and is sure to blow up the club. 'Triple Magic' on the other side is a Daisy Age tribute from L Roy that is a red hot collision of two giant rap outfits.
