The RME ADI-2 Pro FS is a two channel 24-bit / 768kHz AD/DA converter and USB 2 Digital Audio Converter, audio interface and high-end headphone amp with new jitter rejection SteadyClock FS technology.
The RME ADI-2 Pro FS is the most flexible converter available with balanced and unbalanced I/O, two headphone outputs, DSP-based signal processing and RME's latest Steady Clock FS jitter rejection technology. It offers Class Compliant USB compatibility, sample rates up to 768kHz as well as DSD record and Direct DSD playback.
It boasts a raft of analogue and digital I/O, including two servo-balanced analogue XLR/TRS Jack inputs, two separate balanced and unbalanced outputs on XLR and TS as well as two headphone outputs. Digital I/O include optical ADAT, Optical and coaxial SPDIF and AES accessible via a breakout cable.
Furthermore, its Class Compliant UAC 2 USB 2.0 port offers iOS compatibility and is necessary for firmware updates. It can also work as a 6-in / 8-out audio on Mac OSX and Windows via WDM and ASIO.
Using the latest in A-to-D technology the ADI-2 Pro FS offers best possible sound with highest signal-to-noise ratio, super low THD and noise. The latest Integrated Sample Rate converter takes care of clocking issues between S/PDIF and AES thanks to RME's latest SteadyClock FS technology.
A high-resolution display shows controls for the ADI-2 Pro FS unique features including DSP effects like 5-band parametric EQ, binaural crossfeed, adjustable loudness filter, selectable AD/DA filters and four analogue reference levels. Mobile RAVENNA Solution via USB
The combination of RME's renowned drivers (Mac/Windows) and DirectOut's RAVENNA implementation offer a reliable and flexible networked computer audio interface. Equipped with the latest TotalMix FX it can not only route, but also mix as many independent submixes as outputs are available. The included high quality phones output offers a quick listen to any audio channel, but can also be used as line output to provide an additional analog stereo mixdown.
RAVENNA & MADI
RME made the two BNC sockets for word clock I/O switchable to MADI I/O, with up to 64 channels. The total sum of Ravenna and MADI, 128 channels, are transferred via USB 3.0 and handled via the included RAVENNA web server or RME's TotalMix FX, for full and struggle-free control of all audio.
On the network side, the interface features a full-fledged RAVENNA stack with AES67 and ST2110-30/31 support and redundant audio-over-IP streaming as per ST2022-7. In addition, the interface can also be used as a mobile 64-channel RAVENNA/MADI converter without a USB connection to a computer. The coaxial MADI I/O connectors may also be configured to work as word clock sync I/O.
TotalMix FX and TotalMix Remote
Like all the latest RME interfaces, the Digiface Series also includes the powerful digital real-time mixer TotalMix FX. It allows for practically unlimited mixing and routing operations, with all inputs and playback channels simultaneously, to any hardware outputs.
The Digiface Series includes a dedicated Control Room section with Talkback, Main/Phones, fader groups, mute groups, complete remote controllability via Mackie or OSC protocol, and much more. The Digiface Series does not support DSP based effects (FX) like EQ or reverb.
Additionally RME's latest software, TotalMix Remote, enhances the power of RME interfaces by enabling remote control via iOS, PC or Mac. With a straightforward set up process - simply enter the IP address of the computer you would like to control with TotalMix Remote and get going - users can quickly adjust any aspect of TotalMix FX on a host system while walking around the studio with their tablet, or from a control room located elsewhere in the facility.
