Review: 2 Bit Crew member / Safe Radio representor CK returns to his local label PRS for another lesson in version artistry. One tune, four personal interpretations; "Cough" is first presented to us in the form of a classic early 90s trance form, all upbeat and bouncy. Its poignant arpeggio and chords are then presented in ambient form to show a whole other compositional and emotional side. Flip for two more revisions as both the Essence mix and Patience mix take more of a progressive tip with big pads, trippy tinges and skippy breakbeats that wouldn't have gone a miss in Sasha and John Digweed's seminal Northern Exposure mixes.

Review: It is now 13 releases deep and each and every time a new one arrives, Private Recording System's music sells out. This one comes from returning label regular, 2 Bit Crew member and Safe Radio associate CK who again cooks up a future fusion of house, tech and minimal. 'Speedstick' is first out of the blocks and is an intergalactic tech trip with hurried drums and silvery hi-hats and snares riding the beats. '99 Basstones' then gets more tribal and stripped back with compelling kicks and bass bringing plenty of bounce and 'Faker' shuts down on something of a funky, loopy techno tip.

Review: C.K. is a Danish producer best known for his work in 2 Bit Crew and Regelbau, but he's more recently been focusing on his Private Recording System label, which strides into its ninth release with a little outside input from Ben Boe. C.K. himself leads on the A-side with 'Lock', a solid house-geared workout with plenty of immersive melodic threads tipping the vibe towards the proggy end of things. Meanwhile on the flip Boe's 'Neighbourhood Quasar' gets the remix treatment from C.K., who flips it into a bouncy, 909-powered jam for dancefloor dreamers the world over.
