Cordial's Preview (0:40)
Review: Disco heads take note, here's a reissue that's been a long time coming. Cordial only have one record to their name, so perhaps it should have been called Their First (and Last), but that of course only adds to the appeal for devoted diggers. Lovingly repressed by Past Due, this three-tracker from 1979 is fit to burst with musicality, from the uptempo flourishes of 'Wave' to heartstring-tugging 'Special Love'. It's absolutely rooted in the era, with a high-end sound which makes it frankly shocking they never recorded more after this golden gem. Sharks be damned, let the music reach those who truly appreciate it.

Review: A super rare boogie track from Baltimore's DIT Band, released in 1980. On re-edit duties, we have the finest from Japan: Alex From Tokyo (of Tokyo Black Star - Innervisions Fame) and his accomplice K granting us with a subtle yet intricate re-edit that mixes the two different parts together!

Traffic (Cheek To Cheek Bumper To Bumper) (Patchworks remix)
Review: Past Due, the hottest reissue label around, is back with another fantastic ultra rare jam - "Traffic" from Greyship Daviz! This 12" comes with remixes by Markus Enochson and Patchworks. Greyship was a mid-seventies Westerville rock band who hired a temporary vocalist named Davis. After billing themselves as Greyship & Davis, it simply made more sense to call themselves Greyship Davis. After the singer and band parted ways, they kept the name, only adjusting Davis to read Daviz.

You Make It Harder
Wishful Thinking
If You Want My Love
I Can Feel Your Heartbeat
Miami Girl
Review: The Ray Contreras Band, fixtures of the 80s New York dance scene, first released 'You Make It Harder' as a 7" under the name Contreras / Sokolov / Milgrom. A rare, twilight boogie-funk track specially cherished among nostalgists, the record again avails itself this time in the form of a 12" single, expanded over four formerly unreleased songs. A supremely satisfying, deep-plombing mix takes the cake on the A1 as Elliot Sokolov's impassioned vocals recount the experience of romantic frustration through sharp, between-the-lines intakes of breath. 'Wishful Thinking', 'If You Want My Love', 'I Can Feel Your Heartbeat', and 'Miami Girl' follow as the criminally unreleased demos, all of which are as hit-worthy as the A, we kid you not. New York electro-funk at its finest, whiffing with tasteful cheese.

Review: Mega-rare Memphis funk on official re-issue for the very first time: Subway's 1982 mini-LP has been known to pass hands for well over $1000 in recent years, now it's yours for a hundredth of the price. Written and produced by Lee More with Stax sessionists Subway's debut release (of a discog comprising just two releases) is an obese synth boogie release that hits hard in all directions: "Ten Toes Up Ten Down" is a fast-paced electric funk cut that tips a nod at Rick James, "You Can Bet" really flexes their broad falsetto harmonies with an air of Earth Wind & Fire while "What You Do For Love" adds a little R&B sass and "What's In The Dark" runs with a bassline so juicy it borders on p-funk infectiousness. There's a reason this has been in demand for the last 35 years.

Review: Past Due is a very special reissue label dedicated to the boogie down sounds of the 70's and the 80's. Here is our first offering: Visions Of Tomorrow "Galaxy", a super funky, synth-led early 80's instrumental tune.
