Battle For Middle You (Maurice Donovan dub)
Ask Yourself (Midland remix)
Review: PMR set the bar high with their first release from Bristol's flame haired tyke Julio Bashmore, and the label promises much more with material from L-Vis 1990 and Two Inch Punch in the coming months. A further flex of credentials is shown on this twelve, with two of the tracks that made up Bashmore's debut getting the remix treatment from the Leeds House Mafia, David Kennedy and Midland. Kennedy adopts the Chicago House legend alias of Maurice Donovan to remix "Battle For Middle You", adding a certain drunk charm to those neon synth lines, whilst there's a satisfying crunch to the beats. Complementing this is a superlative reworking of "Ask Yourself" from rising talent Midland which retains the core brilliance of the original but dips it in a sumptuous sonic mist.

Love Without A Heart (Brey Oh & Trix)
Review: Having collaborated on "Father, Father", Julio Bashmore further cements his clearly fruitful relationship with sometime hand towel model and possessor of a delicate voice Javeon McCarthy for the latest drop from the fledgling but impressive PMR label. This time McCarthy is in the spotlight as "Love Without A Heart" showcases the full range of his vocal talents over a burning future boogie backing from senor Bashmore that simmers brilliantly. Die Barbie Musik Kollektiv usher forth alumni Brey for his first remix endeavour - which is pretty impressive given the results. Lending the track a more percussive shoulder lean, Brey clearly has fun messing around with McCarthy's vocal on a remix that is full of hard to predict rhythmic deviations. Earnest endeavours from all involved.

BOSS (6:41)
Disclosure & Al Green - "Feel Like I Do" (3:14)
Disclosure & Eats Everything - "Moog For Love" (5:24)
Review: Festival favourites Disclosure continue their quest for world domination with Mood For Love, a three-track EP of non-album tracks that boasts two notable collaborations. There's "Feel Like A Do", a sweet, woozy and sun-kissed number featuring the effervescent vocals of soul legend Al Green, and "Moog For Love", in which the boys join forces with house behemoth Eats Everything to cannily combine bumpin' drums, rumbling bass and more sweet soul samples. By far and away the "biggest" cut on the EP, though, is breezy garage opener "Boss", which sounds like a swishing, radio-friendly update of the classic Todd Edwards sound. Expect to hear it everywhere this summer.

White Noise (HudMo remix)
Review: With the debut Disclosure album on the horizon the hype juggernaut cranks up a notch with this remix from Hudson Mohawke. Clearly implementing the Lana Del Rey formula, Hud Mo's take on "White Noise" comes in the aftermath of a slew of similarly high profile remixes of the brotherly duo (Joe Goddard, Dixon and Jamie Jones amongst them) Given his widely professed love for female fronted RnB, Kanye's mate Hudmo is a perfect producer to approach "White Noise", the Lawrence brother's track with Aluna George's Aluna Francis and the results are revelatory. It's all about the drums here which snap and flutter in all the right places as Disclosure's original melodies percolate and Francis' vocal gets mangled.

Lost In Love (Neon Dreams club mix)
Lost In Love (Night Slugs Allstars Street mix)
Review: Always a sucker for bright neon melodies, L-Vis 1990 goes all out on his new single with what sounds like a plump for top of the pops. The most straight-up of electro house backing tracks provides the backdrop to vocals from rising Bristol crooner Javeon McCarthy, but hold tight for the addition of the Chilli Peppers guitar hook towards the end! It's undeniably slickly produced and damn fun to boot. A bass-fuelled remix from the Night Slugs All-Stars (presumably including L-Vis himself) will appeal to the traditional NS fan base.

Country Life (2:26)
Achilles Heel (2:35)

Groundhog Day (1:51)
Kaleidoscope (2:51)
Review: Master Peace reaches new heights on this thrilling five-track 12". He grew up listening to bands like Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys and The Streets, and combines that with contemporary inspirations to cook up a mix of resonant songwriting and anthemic pop hooks. 'Veronica' from this EP is already a radio hit and 'Groundhog Day' easily slips into the fine UK tradition for belting indie. Nothing here is frilly or excessive, the lyrics are tight and the grooves drive with the wide-eyed 'Kaleidoscope' being a standout amongst these powerful and bold new tunes.

T Williams x Shadow Child - "Want You To"
T Williams x J Bevin - "Dreaming" (re-ruff)
Review: Straight up UKG business from PMR veteran and Radio 1 resident T Williams, this EP has been unavoidable throughout the summer and is no finally available on 12". From the booty-shaking commands of the title track we get deeper and deeper into the foundations; "Bahia Repulse" warbles and wobbles with classic house vocals ghosting in and out of the mix, "Want You To" N-Joi's the endless sea of early 90s inspiration while "Dreaming" slaps with the funkiest punch thanks to some insistent key work and a vocal so emphatic you'll think you're still in Ibiza. Go berserk.

Dreaming
Review: If you're searching for that golden nugget of peak time, bash-out hysteria to get 2-step loving kids going wild, then look no further than this latest super sharp shooter from T Williams. From the first instance the swinging drums and vocal snippets kick off, complemented with staccato fills to kick the tune off proper. Bringing a modern spin on the classic UK Garage sound, a chunky chord line is brought in with a tech house leaning, sneaking in as a delicate piano before the meaty synth picks the phrase up and runs with it. There's no secret trick to this track, just the right ingredients dropped with a deft touch for maximum impact.

Running (Disclosure remix)
Running (Disclosure dub)
Review: Having performed vocal duties for the likes of SBTRKT and Joker, Jessie Ware steps out with her debut solo effort, co-produced by Julio Bashmore and The Invisible's Dave Okumu. The original version is a brilliant piece of neo-soul and has all the hallmarks of a classic in the making - and sees her make the jump from vocal for hire to a talent in her own right. It's amazing then that Disclosure's remix manages to top it - a slice of club ready neon garage full of clean stabs and whipcrack snares which comes in vocal and dub flavours.
