Review: Dylan Payne's West Coast label InTheBagg is bringing new energy to the US tech house scene and now he's showcasing his own sound as Shadowpeople on this standout 12". 'Duck Tales' is a knotty, bumping workout for deeper dancefloors, but there's plenty of detail and intrigue in the track to keep you locked in. 'Soup & Strippers' is a more sprightly, crafty slice of electro-informed tech house while 'Chika Boom Boom' leans on more forthright, jazz-informed chords and broken beats and breaks. 'Intimacy' kicks off the B-side in a flow of crooked rhythms and tripped out sound effects, while 'Yes' completes the picture with a bumping twist on the garage house template that'll have parties popping off without fail.
