Four independent modulation sections:

The heart of the pedal is its four, independent modulation sections synced in time, they are:

MOD features great sounding EHX Vibrato, Flanger, Chorus or Phaser. The Depth knob lets you set the amount of the effect while Feedback controls the resonance of the Flanger and Phaser.

TREM delivers tremolo, an effect that modulates the volume of your signal. The Depth control sets tremolo intensity.

PAN modulates between left and right in stereo operation. In mono operation the PAN section acts as another tremolo section, but with the wave shapes all inverted!

FILTER offers a choice of a modulated LPF, HPF or BPF. In LPF (low pass filter) frequencies above a modulated cut-off point are cut. In HPF (high pass filter) frequencies below a modulated cut-off point are cut, and in BPF (band pass filter) frequencies above and below a modulated centre point are cut.

Each section also features a choice of four LFO shape options: rising sawtooth, triangle, falling sawtooth or square wave. They affect the way the modulation transitions and provide advanced creative control over the specific section as well as the way they interact with each other.

Tempo control that's flexible and powerful:

The MOD REX delivers virtually limitless polyrhythmic possibilities.

Its TEMPO component gives you nine note-length choices for each of the four modulation sections. They are independently selectable in increments starting at a whole note and ranging thru subdivisions that go up to a 16th note. In addition, any of the sections can be bypassed.

The MOD REX's tempo (displayed as beats per minute or BPM) is adjustable with the Tempo knob, Tap Tempo footswitch or by using an expression pedal into its EXP input. It can also be synced to an external device with MIDI Clock or an external pulse clock.

MIDI and the MOD REX:

The pedal's robust MIDI implementation enables you to sync devices quickly and easily as well as automate functions and changes so they occur precisely when and where you want them whether you are working at home, in a studio or live.

The MOD REX accepts MIDI to enable it to tempo sync the modulation rate with an external device, to recall presets via MIDI Program Change messages and to control any parameter on the MOD REX via Control Change messages.

Extras:

The MOD REX lets you save and recall up to 100 presets. It comes from the factory with 20 great programs.

The pedal features full stereo input and output.

An external foot controller input makes banking up and down thru presets quick and easy.

Notes: The MOP-D10 is a multi-output power source that was developed by EHX engineers to provide a player with noise-free pedal operation. It features ten isolated 9VDC outputs that handle the most popular power requirements: 4x100mA, 2x250mA, 2x300mA and 2x400mA.

From its premium analogue power path featuring low-noise linear regulators to its custom-wound toroidal transformer, the MOP-D10 is designed to let a pedal user achieve a sonically pure signal path. Unlike many other multi-output power supplies which rely on switching power conversion, the MOP-D10's transformer-based power conversion is significantly less susceptible to spurious noises leaking into the audio path. An AC Voltage Selector Switch also ensures the MOP-D10 can be used with a range of voltages commonly found around the world.

Each of the MOP-D10's outputs is center-negative and all output power jacks are isolated from each other. The dimensions of each output connector are 5.5mm x 2.1mm. The unit is supplied with a 6' detachable power cord and ten 24" long DC power cables equipped with one straight and one right-angle end. It also includes hardware for pedalboard mounting.

Notes: A reverb processing powerhouse!

The EHX Oceans 12 is the Oceans 11's big brother with even more reverbs and functionality. It features two simultaneous, independent, stereo reverb engines, series and parallel control for the dual reverbs, 24 presets and advanced I/O allowing for stereo in/out or mono send/return with pre and post reverb options. The pedal also includes a new Tide Control for stereo image alteration, a Lo-fi Control, an infinite attenuation control and an input jack for external expression and 3-button footswitch control.

A Tails switch provides a choice of whether the reverb effect fades out naturally or stops immediately when the pedal is switched to bypass. In most settings the pedal is also capable of producing infinite reverb which can be played over with a different reverb effect.

The Oceans 12's reverbs are:

ROOM - two modes: reverb algorithms modelled after a lively room and a spacious performance hall
SPRING - two modes: vintage 1962 Fender 6G15 tube reverb emulation and the spring algorithm from the EHX Holy Grail
PLATE - two modes: two emulations of the smooth, metal plate reverb often used in high-end recording studios during the 1960s and '70s
REVERSE - two modes: a reverse reverb effect as well as true reversed echoes
ECHO - three modes: a digital delay with various echo rhythms feeding into a plate reverb
TREM - three modes: a classic, periodic volume envelope with various shapes applied to both the wet and dry mix of a hall reverb
MOD - three modes: combinations of chorus and flange reverbs that create rich reverb tails
DYNA - three dynamic, experimental reverb algorithms: swell, gate and duck
AUTO-INF - three modes: auto-infinite reverb (w/optional chorus or flange) that "listens" to your playing and crossfades to a new reverb wash upon detection of newly struck notes.
SHIMMER - two modes: two configurations of a rich octave-shifted reverb wash
POLYPHONIC - two modes: two configurable bi-directional pitch shifts that add dimensionality to the reverb tail
RESONANT - two modes: reverb excited by tuneable resonators and configurable self-oscillating filters on the reverb tail

Notes: The polyphonic STRING9 String Ensemble transforms a guitar into nine different string ensembles and string synthesizers while requiring zero modifications, special pickups, or MIDI implementation. It relies on the same technology powering all EHX 9 Series pedals. In a 9 Series first, the STRING9 includes the signature EHX Freeze effect on 3 of the presets to sample and hold notes and chords with infinite sustain.

The pedal is equipped with independent Effect and Dry volume controls so players can precisely tune their mix at the Effects output jack, plus a Dry output jack that always outputs the input signal at unity gain.

Controls 1 and 2 have been designed to adjust specific parameters for each of the nine programs adding usability and flexibility to each sound.
