Review: Dead Soul Brothers are made up of Herve and Seba. You will of course know Herve (aka The Count Of Monte Cristal) from his recent classic "Beeper" and outstanding remixes of New Young Pony Club and Roisin Murphy. Seba brings classic song writing to the party. Together they deliver seven amazing tracks that combine cutting edge modern sounds with influences from the past to create something completely fresh! Ranging from the relentless beats of "Yeah Yeah Yeah" with its rocking vocal and filthy bass to "Blessed" with its trippy, psychedelic feel. "Come On Now" is perhaps the standout track sounding like "The White Album" - if Lennon and McCartney had immersed themselves in the Second Summer Of Love as much as the first one! If that wasn't enough Mr Paul Epworth in his Phones guise delivers some of his best work yet. Here he concentrates on the funk rather than the noise and provides a fantastic mix for the dancefloor! "EP1", on the Dead Soul Brothers label, is top dance business.
