Review: Willow Avalon fashions after her Georgia upbringing a sharp, incisive debut LP. The splash debut artist’s lyrical lexicon is a fierce one, and that’s not to mention her rich backing instrumental palette of classic country and Americana. From whip-smart lines in ‘Homewrecker’ and ‘Yodelayheewho’ to moments of regret in ‘The Actor’ and ‘Baby Blue’, her storytelling never slips into cliché; “she gets at least as much of her musical talent from her mom's side,” says her father Jim White, as her Southern roots and filial retrospections permeate each song.

Review: Ace Frehley’s role in KISS was crucial in shaping the band's signature theatrics. The Spaceman to Simmons’ Demon, Stanley’s Starchild, and/or Criss’ Catman, Frehley’s silver-laced face makeup would of course come star-dusted by quasaring guitar chops, doubly amplifying KISS's popularity in histrionic heavy metal at large. Frehley’s new Now Playing tracklist - a new record from the prima donna rock quartile via Atlantic - highlights his diverse solo career, with'Rock Soldiers’, ‘Breakout’, 'Into the Night’ and 'Calling to You’ all featuring. It also packs the best hits from his time with Frehley's Comet, such as ‘Insane' and 'Dancin' With Danger’.

A full Twilight soundtrack reissue campaign is well underway, once again bolstering the staying power of the teen emo-gothic vampire brand. As with the entirety of the series, the score for the first edition in the film franchise was overseen by music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, with its original elements composed by Carter Burwell and also featuring curated songs from the likes of Muse, Paramore, Linkin Park and The Black Ghosts.
