Review: There's a mad story behind the two twins in SymbolOne... But the story we're interested in is WHY haven't they released anything for years? Oh well, this jaunty exercise in psychedelic boogie does make up for their absence. Romping with a 2020 feel, we're soon pushed into a pool of crisp synths, emotive washes and one of the sexiest sounding trip description we've ever heard. Remix-wise Riton goes all weepy and deep before slamming into top gear mid-way, Ilija Rudman chows down on some juicy disco and Deadbots press the timeless electro trance button (think early Get Physical). Welcome back Symbolone... Don't leave it so long next time!
Kanji Kinetic, Hadean & Krissi B - "Kick The Bass"
Kanji Kinetic - "Work It Out"
Review: South coast party crew In The Face have launched a label and it's making an entrance with no airs or graces whatsoever. Honouring the fast-rising Kanji Kinetic with the debut release, he's teamed up with various In The Face friends to create a collabo launch release that really sums up the nutty spirit of their raves. Whether you're after the more uptempo savagery sonics of "Kick The Bass" or you're hankering for a lush euphoric garage breakdown and a sickeningly funky bass drop ("Work It Out"), there's something here for all bass monkeys right here....Something right in the face!
