Tommy Walker 3 has been hiding for a while now, after releasing a slew of material in 2008 (including a release on the sadly defunct Dissident). Now he's back with "Dance Music Clubbing", and with a name like this you'd probably expect this EP to either be a bit off the wall, or unintentionally awful. We're glad to say it fits into the former category, offering an EP of colourful elastic space disco mixed with a more classic vibe. Opener "Disconnected" sets the tone with its 80s, verging on hair metal guitar riffs. "MWJ1" impresses with its almost Seinfeld-esque slap bass, and synth piano stabs while "Errational" is characterised by its wonky synth melody and spaced-out laser gurgles. Finally "V Brains" melds driving live bass with huge slabs of cosmic squelch. If you like your disco fierce, this will definitely be worth a look!
Red Rack Em (Bergerac, Smugglers Inn) ''I am totally loving this. Gonna be playing this on the Smugglers Inn and in clubs. Really good quality, off kilter, musical, bright and confident are words that spring to mind. More please.''
Perseus Traxx (Future Flash) ''An awesome selection of tracks that make me think Japanese Telecom somehow discovered some LSD laced guitars''
Brassica ''Highly Inventive stuff, a lot of fun, I haven't stopped listening''
Neil (El Diablo's) ''Great release once again''
Dj Haus (Hot City, Unknown To The Unknown) ''really great def play out !''
