Live From Sankeys Ibiza CD

The original Sankeys club in Manchester may have closed its doors, but its Ibiza equivalent lives to fight another day - as this live recording of long-established Israeli producer Shlomi Aber proves. As main room DJ mixes go, it's pretty tasty, offering dancefloor pump, chunky grooves and intoxicating atmopsherics in equal measure. Aber's sound has always been tricky to pin down - a kind of shuffling mix of post-progressive house, tech-house, heads-down grooves and hypnotic techno - but that's arguably part of his attraction as a DJ. Certainly, his choices here, from the alien melodies and tech-house pump of Chester Code & Frankie Howland, and the teary-eyed deepness of Luca Agnelli, to the sweaty broken house of Roberto's "Jack Cable", confirm this.
