Outside The Skyline CD

After a four-year hiatus, deep house veteran Miguel Migs delivers his third full-length. As with previous albums, Outside The Skyline sees refiguring his sunny, dub-influenced deep house sound for home and radio listening. So, while the Vitamin D-rich grooves remain, they're twisted into altogether poppier shapes by an impressive collection of guest vocalists and collaborators (Capleton, reggae legend Freddie McGregor, bossa stalwart Bebel Gilberto and original disco diva Evelyn 'Champagne' King all lend a hand). Sometimes such 'all-star' sets feel awkward and contrived, but this remains very much a Miguel Migs album. As a result, Outside The Skyline is a breezy treat.
