Notes: The first outing for KMA's unique and custom AI driven True Double Tracker technology was in the ENDGAME, their powerhouse end-of-chain pedal. KMA designed their dead-simple-to-use, TDT Algorithm in ENDGAME to be as authentic to the doubling recording process as possible, but they realise that not everybody needs all the bells and whistles of such an all-encompassing device.
However, the processing power requirements required for TDT meant a simpler device wasn't yet possible. But as demand from the community grew, KMA's team worked hard to squeeze it down and make it happen.
So, meet GEMINUS - all of KMA's True Double Tracker goodness in a compact pedal that's suitable for any board. Whether playing live or recording with a single instrument, GEMINUS is the perfect solution for adding "fatness" and "width" to your performances - it really does feel like you are playing the same riff twice!
Enabled via the soft bypass footswitch, GEMINUS accurately replicates the minor differences that exist between two separate recordings. The TDT WIDTH control spreads your doubled tracks, anywhere from completely centred (0%) to 50% left and right (centre indent) and 100% left and right split.
KMA has carried out extensive research on how to make double tracking sound exactly how they think it should perform. In the process, they've spent thousands of engineering hours working on our own proprietary technology, even developing our own custom neural network AI with onset detection in the process for our algorithms.
The mode for the TRS input and output jacks is selected by the toggle switch. You can choose between stereo in and out, mono in and stereo out or mono in to mono out, so no matter your signal and tonal desires, GEMINUS will fit into your rig with ease.
For the most accurate performance (and just like the real double tracking scenario in the studio), their custom True Double Tracker algorithm should ideally be fed with a mono signal. Obviously if you are trying to emulate what traditionally happens in the studio, you wouldn't normally double up a stereo source. Having said that, the TDT algorithm has been optimised to still have a useful and very pleasing widening effect on stereo input signals, just take care that using too much doubling on some stereo sources may cause your carefully crafted reverb, delay or other modulation effects to turn to mush or even add phase issues.
To help tailor the Doubling to your own taste, the TIME control changes the timing range of the doubled AI-driven onset detection. Essentially, it's all about the tightness of the doubled signal to fit differing playing styles. Variable from an extra tight mode, that's perfect for extra fast riffs, to a looser timing that can just the right amount of density to more open playing styles, this control is a powerful weapon to make your riffs fit your musical goals. The centre detent is GEMINUS' default factory position, but turning the knob left will give a tighter feel. Crank the knob to the right and the doubled signal becomes much more relaxed.
While the LEVEL control affects the balance of the doubled signal against the original source. Useful for those times where you might want maximum width, but a little less (or even more) of the sound to be doubled against the original. Centre detent of the knob is GEMINUS' default factory position. There's some clever panning stuff going on under the hood here too, so neither the doubled or original signal is louder on one side or the other, when in Stereo.
Finally, the new PITCH selector switch can add some additional movement to your doubled signal, extending the usefulness of GEMINUS beyond standard doubling. When the switch is at the centre default position (-) there is no pitch adjustment, (~) adds some subtle modulation, while (?) adds even more wobble. In this mode, it doesn't mean that your second guitarist will sound like they are off on a quest for enlightenment all on their own (!), it is just super handy for those times when you want more chaos and instability in your ensemble.
To top it all off, they've added a switchable real True/Buffered bypass and 'silent' relay-based soft switching. When KMA were testing our new pedal platform, they really loved the clarity and signal integrity of KMA's Buffered Bypass, plus there are zero clicks and pops when switching in this mode, which is why it is the recommended and default mode on shipping. However, they know some players have some special devices like extra fussy vintage fuzz pedals and the like, so they added the ability to select True Bypass mode via an internal dip switch.
Phew, seems that there's quite a lot going inside GEMINUS then. We believe our True Double-Tracker in this pedal is the best sounding, yet easiest to use doubler you'll ever play - period.

Tape delay was invented in the late 40s when Les Paul strung two Ampex Model 200A reel-to-reel tape recorders together. A little later, in 1953, Ray Butts invented the Echosonic, the first actual tape delay unit. This would be followed up by the Echoplex EP-1 in 1961 from Mike Battle and the Space Echo from Roland in 1974. The JHS Pedals 3 Series Tape Delay is a simplified and faithful throwback to these classic units. The Mix control lets you control how much clean signal is blended in with the wet (delayed) signal (on the original unit, this was called Echo Volume). Tape Speed acts as a simulation of the RE-201's tape motor speeding up and slowing down and determines how short or long the delay effect is. The Repeats control goes from a single repeat to many, reminiscent of a sound being written onto the tape loop with loss of fidelity each time. Finally, when the Flutter toggle is turned on (up position), it replicates the wear & tear to the mechanical parts of a tape machine that happens over time. After being discharged from the army in 1946, Ray and Marv Lubow formed Tel-Ray Electronics, specializing in Television and Radio repair. As the company grew, Ray also began dabbling in audio inventions specifically, delay. Les Paul had already pioneered an effect called tape echo, but folks were trying to figure out how to make a smaller, more practical version of this oversized effect. Inspired to do just that, on June 30, 1959, Ray submitted the patent for an electro-static delay apparatus known today as the oil can delay.
These delay units contained oil in a tuna-can shaped drum that was moved by a belt mechanism that turned the drum while a special disk apparatus on which the audio signal charge was written and read through rubber wiper heads. The playback speed was directly related to the drum's rotation speed. The oil acted as a protective layer to keep the audio signal "charge" electrons in place, creating a truly unique echo effect with elements of vibrato and slapback delay. Ray Lubow began licensing the oil can delay technology to amplifier companies, including Fender, Gibson, and Rickenbacker. In the late 1960s, Ray and Marv decided they wanted to start selling their devices under their own brand name and launched the now legendary effects company, Morley. Nels brought up the subject of weird delays, leading to an in-depth discussion of the strangest pedals they'd ever played. Josh received a message from Nels a few days later asking if JHS made an oil can style delay and began explaining the particular sound he wanted from this type of echo. Though JHS didn't have one in the official lineup, Josh and team developed a one-off oil can delay pedal. When they presented it to Nels as a gift, he liked it so much that he used it through the recording and touring process for Wilco's Cruel Country and now their latest release, Cousin.

Throughout MOOER's track record of producing electric guitar pedals, the company has put a lot of its innovative prowess into its range of loop pedals, including 2023's VP3 Loopation. Ever since, MOOER's engineers have been hard at work designing the GL100, a feature-packed dual-footswitch stereo phrase looper and drum machine that has far more on offer than its younger looper siblings.
Perhaps the most impressive upgrade that MOOER has integrated into the GL100 is the sheer amount of looping time that this pedal can provide. In total, the pedal supports 300 minutes of looping time, all of which can be manually or automatically saved into 100 different storage slots.
The two footswitches are the primary means for controlling this feature, used through short presses and holds to trigger phrase recording, playback, overdubs, cancellations, and, most impressively, undo and redos. Most importantly, the pedal's position-jumping function gives users the flexibility to switch between storage slots with the footswitches while performing, providing them with the potential to perform fully structured loop-based music.
In synchronization with the phrase looper, users of the GL100 can also leverage the pedal's integrated drum machine, which contains 11 variations of 20 different drum pattern styles in various time signatures. Ultimately, this ensures that just about every musical genre is covered, regardless of whether it's for music performance, rehearsals, or simply experimenting at home. It's very simple to use, being triggerable with the device's footswitches, editable through the touchscreen, and, of course, tap-tempo synchronisable. Four different stop modes are also provided to facilitate perfect drum machine endings. More still, for the first time, MOOER has integrated its AI Band Technology feature, an intelligent accompaniment system that automatically matches suitable drum patterns based on the character of real-time guitar input, facilitating control-free synchronization.
Notably, MOOER has also made a serious effort to ensure that it is easy to record the perfect loop with the GL100. For example, the count-in function is very easy to use, as is the auto-record feature, which allows users to capture perfect loops by triggering it based on signal detection, preventing the need for perfectly timed footswitch presses. Better still, this signal detection feature can be toggled on or off with a single button press, and the signal threshold is easily adjustable, helping to support instruments of varying signal ranges.
A simple footswitch press also primes the pedal for various drum synchronization features, triggering the drum pattern to stop after one bar, repeat, or reset the looper, making it easy to perfect the loop's ending and creation-not just the beginning. To aid in this, an internal quantizer function is active to ensure that users always trigger and stop recording perfectly, even if they are slightly late with the footswitch press. Better still, the phrase looper even has a time-stretch feature, facilitating the changing of the tempo of a recorded loop but without changing the pitch, allowing any loop to sync perfectly, in key, with the drum machine.
As with any other MOOER product, the team's designers have really pushed the boundaries when it comes to the user experience. Despite packing so many features into such a small device, MOOER's signature multi-purpose footswitches, dials, and, most notably, touchscreen have all been integrated into this pedal to ensure users can squeeze as much dynamic use out of it as possible. A perfect example of this is how users have two different ways to browse through their phrase loop creations-both through using the pedal's menu encoder and by pressing and holding the footswitches, enabling dynamic looping control and real-time phrase selection without needing to stop playing the guitar.
Furthermore, the GL100 also stands out from MOOER's past loop stations for its flexible audio routing functionalities. As you would expect from a modern looping pedal, stereo input, and output are provided, but these inputs and outputs can be used with different amplifiers or instruments depending on the routing settings, allowing performers to coordinate complex loop phrases and drum patterns together in a coherent and sonically diffused manner. This includes mono connections, dual-channel connections, and even the isolation of both drum machine and instrument channels.
Finally, the GL100 comes with its own MOOER Studio software, compatible with both Windows and iOS, which users can use to save, export, import, and delete phrase recordings, expanding the device's storage capabilities. This same software can also be used to download firmware upgrades to the device when available and to complete a factory reset if ever necessary. Throughout MOOER's track record of producing electric guitar pedals, the company has put a lot of its innovative prowess into its range of loop pedals, including 2023's VP3 Loopation. Ever since, MOOER's engineers have been hard at work designing the GL100, a feature-packed dual-footswitch stereo phrase looper and drum machine that has far more on offer than its younger looper siblings.
Perhaps the most impressive upgrade that MOOER has integrated into the GL100 is the sheer amount of looping time that this pedal can provide. In total, the pedal supports 300 minutes of looping time, all of which can be manually or automatically saved into 100 different storage slots.
The two footswitches are the primary means for controlling this feature, used through short presses and holds to trigger phrase recording, playback, overdubs, cancellations, and, most impressively, undo and redos. Most importantly, the pedal's position-jumping function gives users the flexibility to switch between storage slots with the footswitches while performing, providing them with the potential to perform fully structured loop-based music.
In synchronization with the phrase looper, users of the GL100 can also leverage the pedal's integrated drum machine, which contains 11 variations of 20 different drum pattern styles in various time signatures. Ultimately, this ensures that just about every musical genre is covered, regardless of whether it's for music performance, rehearsals, or simply experimenting at home. It's very simple to use, being triggerable with the device's footswitches, editable through the touchscreen, and, of course, tap-tempo synchronisable. Four different stop modes are also provided to facilitate perfect drum machine endings. More still, for the first time, MOOER has integrated its AI Band Technology feature, an intelligent accompaniment system that automatically matches suitable drum patterns based on the character of real-time guitar input, facilitating control-free synchronization.
Notably, MOOER has also made a serious effort to ensure that it is easy to record the perfect loop with the GL100. For example, the count-in function is very easy to use, as is the auto-record feature, which allows users to capture perfect loops by triggering it based on signal detection, preventing the need for perfectly timed footswitch presses. Better still, this signal detection feature can be toggled on or off with a single button press, and the signal threshold is easily adjustable, helping to support instruments of varying signal ranges.
A simple footswitch press also primes the pedal for various drum synchronization features, triggering the drum pattern to stop after one bar, repeat, or reset the looper, making it easy to perfect the loop's ending and creation-not just the beginning. To aid in this, an internal quantizer function is active to ensure that users always trigger and stop recording perfectly, even if they are slightly late with the footswitch press. Better still, the phrase looper even has a time-stretch feature, facilitating the changing of the tempo of a recorded loop but without changing the pitch, allowing any loop to sync perfectly, in key, with the drum machine.
As with any other MOOER product, the team's designers have really pushed the boundaries when it comes to the user experience. Despite packing so many features into such a small device, MOOER's signature multi-purpose footswitches, dials, and, most notably, touchscreen have all been integrated into this pedal to ensure users can squeeze as much dynamic use out of it as possible. A perfect example of this is how users have two different ways to browse through their phrase loop creations-both through using the pedal's menu encoder and by pressing and holding the footswitches, enabling dynamic looping control and real-time phrase selection without needing to stop playing the guitar.
Furthermore, the GL100 also stands out from MOOER's past loop stations for its flexible audio routing functionalities. As you would expect from a modern looping pedal, stereo input, and output are provided, but these inputs and outputs can be used with different amplifiers or instruments depending on the routing settings, allowing performers to coordinate complex loop phrases and drum patterns together in a coherent and sonically diffused manner. This includes mono connections, dual-channel connections, and even the isolation of both drum machine and instrument channels.
Finally, the GL100 comes with its own MOOER Studio software, compatible with both Windows and iOS, which users can use to save, export, import, and delete phrase recordings, expanding the device's storage capabilities. This same software can also be used to download firmware upgrades to the device when available and to complete a factory reset if ever necessary. Global Controls
Space Knob: Space adds a delightfully charming reverb to your affected signal. Use this knob to modify the mix and decay of the reverb. Go from smaller room sounds to a huge, diffused ambient reverb at maximum settings. It's lush and complimentary, and adding it in with the other effects will put you squarely in dreamscape territory.
Tone Knob: The Tone parameter controls the cutoff of a synth-style resonant low pass filter, allowing you to shape the tone of the effect output.
Series and Parallel: In series, effects will feed into each other in the order of Chorus > Delay > Grain > Output.
In parallel, all of the effect outputs on Chorus, Delay, and Grain are summed together and do not feed into each other. The top row of knobs will act as level controls, and the user can control the level of each effect.
The Mix/Dry parameter controls the mix of wet and dry signal in series mode and dry level in parallel mode.
Grain Controls
The featured Grain effect features two 'flavours' of operation:
Grain Cloud: This mode triggers small samples (grains) randomly from your playing, which gives you unpredictable, yet charming glitchy texture for your sound. The X knob controls the length of time between grains, so you can go from dense clusters to sparse accents.
Phrase Sample: This mode triggers grains rhythmically from your playing. Initial peaks in your playing are detected and grains are played back starting at these peaks, creating a rhythmic and intentional effect. The X knob controls the tempo at which the samples will be played back. Turning the X knob to the minimum position will sync the Phrase Sample time to the Delay time so that repeated grains are in time with the Delay repeats.
The Grain effect also features 5 playback modes that dictate different ways the grain samples are projected.
x1: Normal
x2: Double-speed and +1 octave
x.5: Half-speed and -1 octave
REV: Reverse playback
RNDM: Randomized combination of the previous four modes.
Delay Controls
The delay effect is a full, clean digital delay that offers repeats for up to two seconds. Use the time knob to control the time between delays as well as the feedback knob to control the amount of delays. The TAP/OSC switch on the bottom right of the pedal can also be used to control the delay effect via tap tempo, or when held down will ramp up the feedback and cause the delay to oscillate.

Global Controls
Space Knob: Space adds a delightfully charming reverb to your affected signal. Use this knob to modify the mix and decay of the reverb. Go from smaller room sounds to a huge, diffused ambient reverb at maximum settings. It's lush and complimentary, and adding it in with the other effects will put you squarely in dreamscape territory.
Tone Knob: The Tone parameter controls the cutoff of a synth-style resonant low pass filter, allowing you to shape the tone of the effect output.
Series and Parallel: In series, effects will feed into each other in the order of Chorus > Delay > Grain > Output.
In parallel, all of the effect outputs on Chorus, Delay, and Grain are summed together and do not feed into each other. The top row of knobs will act as level controls, and the user can control the level of each effect.
The Mix/Dry parameter controls the mix of wet and dry signal in series mode and dry level in parallel mode.
Grain Controls
The featured Grain effect features two 'flavours' of operation:
Grain Cloud: This mode triggers small samples (grains) randomly from your playing, which gives you unpredictable, yet charming glitchy texture for your sound. The X knob controls the length of time between grains, so you can go from dense clusters to sparse accents.
Phrase Sample: This mode triggers grains rhythmically from your playing. Initial peaks in your playing are detected and grains are played back starting at these peaks, creating a rhythmic and intentional effect. The X knob controls the tempo at which the samples will be played back. Turning the X knob to the minimum position will sync the Phrase Sample time to the Delay time so that repeated grains are in time with the Delay repeats.
The Grain effect also features 5 playback modes that dictate different ways the grain samples are projected.
x1: Normal
x2: Double-speed and +1 octave
x.5: Half-speed and -1 octave
REV: Reverse playback
RNDM: Randomized combination of the previous four modes.
Delay Controls
The delay effect is a full, clean digital delay that offers repeats for up to two seconds. Use the time knob to control the time between delays as well as the feedback knob to control the amount of delays. The TAP/OSC switch on the bottom right of the pedal can also be used to control the delay effect via tap tempo, or when held down will ramp up the feedback and cause the delay to oscillate.

Graphic equalizers provide a convenient visual sense of the EQ curve. However, there is a tradeoff in transparency and precision.
The graph here shows the ParaEq MKII Deluxe (cyan) and a 7-band graphic EQ pedal (magenta) both providing a +4dB boost at around 2 kHz. As can be seen, the ParaEq is much more precise in the changes it can make, whereas the graphic EQ affects nearly the entire frequency spectrum. The Holy Grail Max provides four carefully crafted reverbs: Spring, Hall, Plate and Reverse. A newly designed analog wet/dry control yields a constant volume curve as the Blend knob is turned from fully dry to fully wet, while also keeping the dry signal analog through the pedal.
A toggle effect-order switch, located in the middle of the Turnip Greens, selects whether the overdrive or reverb is first in the effects chain. Send and Return jacks let the player insert effects into the signal path between the two.
The Turnip Greens features an internal switch that lets the player select between true bypass or buffered bypass for the Soul Food section.
