Notes: Bartender is the centerpiece of the mixer system. Four stereo channels, with two stereo aux send and two stereo returns. Each channel can be used in a mono mode where both channels are mixed. If you want to do eight channels of mono, you can put the channels in stereo mode (I know it feels backwards) and then use the pan control to control the crossfade between each channel, and then take the mono output. There is a built in cueing system so you can monitor channels in your headphones and control the blend with the main output. You can expand a Bartender with both a Barback and/or another Bartender. When connecting two Bartenders, the main level control on the 'expander' Bartender acts as a group control.

Module A-192-2 contains two independent CV/Gate-to-Midi/USB interfaces. For each of the two sub-units these inputs are available:

- Gate Input (min. +5V)
- CVN Input (defines the Midi note number), 1V/octave standard, range 0...+10V (i.e. 10 octaves)
- CVV Input (defines the velocity value assigned to the Midi note message), can be used alternatively for Midi volume (CC#7), range 0...+5V
- CVC Input (free assignable to any Midi control change number), range 0...+5V

For both sub-units a common CV Transpose input is available (1V/octave, range 0...+10V). The voltage applied to this input is added internally to CVN before the Midi note number is generated. It can be used e.g. to transpose two sequences simultaneously by one voltage.

How it works:

Whenever the rising edge of the Gate input is recognized a Midi note on message is generated. The note number corresponds to the sum of the voltages applied to the CVN input and the common CV Transpose Input that is present at the rising edge of the gate signal.

The Swarm features a SuperSaw oscillator with 8-note polyphony. This oscillator is composed of seven individual saw waves stacked on top of each other. The magic unfolds when you detune the waveforms by applying a frequency offset, resulting in one of the most massive synth sounds available.

Control Modes:

The Swarm employs this massive sound through two distinct control modes: Polyphonic Mode and Arpeggiator Mode. Freeze:

By pressing the touchpad on the right, The Swarm records a 1000ms sample of the current audio. It then layers, and smears the sample, creating an infinite drone frozen in time-a perfect foundation for layering additional notes. The freeze effect facilitates overdubbing, and pressing the touchpad with the freeze knob at its minimum setting erases the memory, allowing the device to capture a fresh sample.

Delay:

The Swarm's delay is a digital delay with a subtle touch of warmth. The delay length synchronizes with the arpeggiator clock, which can be adjusted manually using the clock knob or via the tap tempo touchpad on the left. Additionally, the delay features a multiplier knob, offering a range of unique subdivisions that complement the synced arpeggiator, including quarter notes, dotted eighths, eighths, and triplets.

Reverb:

The reverb effect in The Swarm strives to enhance the natural body and ambience of the synth core without overshadowing it. Its stereo reverb algorithm is controlled by a single knob, which adjusts both the mix and decay simultaneously. This versatile control allows you to seamlessly transition from realistic room or hall effects to expansive cathedral-like soundscapes, offering a wide range of atmospheric possibilities.

Chorus:

The SuperSaw oscillator practically demands to be paired with a chorus effect. The Swarm employs a stereo 4-voice chorus effect alongside a gradually shifting LFO, aiming to craft dimensionality without becoming nauseating.

Xaoc Devices Samarkanda is a digital quad delay module with extensive patching capabilities and a lot of flexibility for signal mangling. It can be used as four entirely independent delays, a dual stereo delay, a complex/multi-tap or multi-channel delay, a quad/polyphonic resonator, dual chorus, dual flanger, reverb, looper (with sound on sound!), and granulator, or any combination of those. You can reverse the delayed signal, hold it, squeeze and stretch it beyond all recognition and still go back to the original piece of audio captured in the buffer! The internal lossless normalization (the signal doesn't leave the digital domain) combined with top-notch components (including 24-bit AKM converters and 32-bit internal processing) are responsible for high sound quality. Samarkanda has been conceived in the truly modular spirit. Samarkanda offers a wide range of delay times beginning at a mere 0.5ms and reaching up to 15 seconds per channel. By using the Sync function you can even loop single wave cycles. The Digital mode gives you a granular buffer-scrubbing effect (no pitch change) across the whole delay time range. You can seamlessly switch back and forth between modes without losing any information. You can use Samarkanda for multiple tasks at the same time - from four independent delay lines through any combination of channels processing the same signal up to a quad behemoth. You can also use the linking feature for ease of operation (the first channel in the chain acts as the main control source for the others).

As most settings operate on a per-channel basis, you can freely combine different features (such as analog/digital behaviour, delay time range, reverse and hold functions, etc.) in a configuration of your choosing. You can synchronize each of its channels separately to a different source, either via the Sync input, or by using the tap-tempo functionality (with multiplication and division galore). Should you ever get lost, the Purge button comes in handy when/if things start to spiral out of control!

Ever since, MOOER's engineers have been hard at work designing the GL100, a feature-packed dual-footswitch stereo phrase looper and drum machine that has far more on offer than its younger looper siblings.

Perhaps the most impressive upgrade that MOOER has integrated into the GL100 is the sheer amount of looping time that this pedal can provide. In total, the pedal supports 300 minutes of looping time, all of which can be manually or automatically saved into 100 different storage slots.

The two footswitches are the primary means for controlling this feature, used through short presses and holds to trigger phrase recording, playback, overdubs, cancellations, and, most impressively, undo and redos. Most importantly, the pedal's position-jumping function gives users the flexibility to switch between storage slots with the footswitches while performing, providing them with the potential to perform fully structured loop-based music.

For example, the count-in function is very easy to use, as is the auto-record feature, which allows users to capture perfect loops by triggering it based on signal detection, preventing the need for perfectly timed footswitch presses. Better still, this signal detection feature can be toggled on or off with a single button press, and the signal threshold is easily adjustable, helping to support instruments of varying signal ranges.
A simple footswitch press also primes the pedal for various drum synchronization features, triggering the drum pattern to stop after one bar, repeat, or reset the looper, making it easy to perfect the loop's ending and creation-not just the beginning. To aid in this, an internal quantizer function is active to ensure that users always trigger and stop recording perfectly, even if they are slightly late with the footswitch press. Better still, the phrase looper even has a time-stretch feature, facilitating the changing of the tempo of a recorded loop but without changing the pitch, allowing any loop to sync perfectly, in key, with the drum machine.

As with any other MOOER product, the team's designers have really pushed the boundaries when it comes to the user experience. Despite packing so many features into such a small device, MOOER's signature multi-purpose footswitches, dials, and, most notably, touchscreen have all been integrated into this pedal to ensure users can squeeze as much dynamic use out of it as possible. A perfect example of this is how users have two different ways to browse through their phrase loop creations-both through using the pedal's menu encoder and by pressing and holding the footswitches, enabling dynamic looping control and real-time phrase selection without needing to stop playing the guitar.

Prince shattered all expectations and made music history when he released the album Purple Rain, followed by the hit movie of the same name weeks later. The 9-track LP went on to win two Grammy awards ("Best Rock Performance by a Group" & "Best Album of Original Score Written For A Motion Picture"), two American Music Awards, a Brit Award, and an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score. In 2012 the Library of Congress added the album to the National Recording Registry, which only accepts sound recordings that "are culturally, historically, or aesthetically important, and/or inform or reflect life in the United States."
