Moscoman's weird and wonderful Disco Hallal label is back with chambering and intoxicating other-disco sounds. As always these are widely and weirdly infused with all manner of psyche influences, rock touches and outlier characteristics. Karpov not Kasparov aka Valeriu Borcos and Eduard Gabia are a Romanian two piece who bring plenty of gypsy funk to their beats. They say their music is a game of chess between synths and drums and that is clear to see as tracks like the fantastic 'Les Pions Sont L'ame Du Jeu' race along with minimal techno grooves overlaid with plenty of tripped out chords and vocal oddness. A unique EP indeed.
