Mood: The Remixes Part I vinyl

8 Bit introduce the first round of remixes borne out of Gorge's album Mood, released earlier this summer, which come pressed up on charming crimson clear vinyl. Rising talent Alex Niggemann hogs the A Side with a remix of "Mi Vida" that infuses the luscious stripped back atmospherics with a degree of energy via crisp syncopation and a dizzying bassline with an excellent midpoint descent into dancefloor hypnotism. On the flip Canadian Daniel Dubb delivers a jacking remix of "My Boots" that adds a liberal dose of the pitch shifting referred to in the remix's sub title. Finally Chris Lattner tackles "Keya", and replaces the heavy tribalism with a rhythmic deep house pulse characterised insistent synth stabs and kaleidoscopic atmospherics.
