The Atlantix is a complete analogue synth voice. It's quick to dial in huge bass or lead sounds, and easy to push it into new sonic territory. Dual VCOs, Multimode VCF, VCA with Drive, and an ADSR envelope; all of the building blocks needed to expand or start making sound in your rack. With 32 patch points and a selection of routing switches, you can remix these blocks into something all your own.

Reimagining a Reimagined Classic

The Atlantix is the highly-anticipated successor to the Intellijel Atlantis which was originally inspired by the classic Roland SH-101. Despite the SH-101's seemingly limited architecture, it produces various creative and musically useful sounds that have inspired generations of artists and countless hits. The Atlantix is just as immediate for dialling in beautifully rich bass and lead sounds. The thoughtful design, numerous additional features, and flexible patching options open up a massive amount of new sonic territory to explore as well.

The Atlantix is an analogue, complete subtractive synthesizer voice condensed into a single 42HP module. It provides all the fundamental building blocks needed to make sounds in Eurorack: VCOs, VCF, VCA, S&H, Noise, and an Envelope.

Oscillators - Advanced TZFM and Flexible Mixer

The Atlantix uses two triangle core voltage controlled oscillators (VCO) which respond in a musically pleasing way to frequency modulation. The Atlantix primary VCO (VCO A) is capable of thru-zero frequency modulation and has a dedicated amplifier for controlling FM depth (FM INDEX). The modulation oscillator (VCO B) can be used as either an LFO or VCO. The highly flexible architecture allows you to route VCO B as a modulation source or stack it as a secondary VCO all by the flick of a switch or slider. VCO B also has a bonus "spike" waveform output which is a square wave with fixed HPF, similar to the Buchla Easel. Both oscillators track very precisely over eight or more octaves.

In the mixer section, you can adjust the balance of the primary oscillator's waveforms, sub-oscillator noise, and two auxiliary inputs that are normalled to additional VCO A waveforms or VCO B waveforms. The auxiliary inputs also allow you to patch other external signals into the mix.
The second Auxiliary input has a switch that allows you to route the source between the mixer sum or directly into the VCA (post-VCF). The latter is a way to pass an unfiltered fundamental signal to the final VCA stage and then blend it with filtered audio from the VCF. This draws inspiration from the architecture of the CS-80 where a sine wave is mixed with the filtered audio to make glassy tones with some added harmonics.

Multimode Filter - From Drips to Growls

The filter section (VCF) is a discrete cascaded 4-pole multimode filter with lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and phaser (multi-notch) modes. The filter can self-oscillate which produces a very clean sine wave that also tracks 1V/Oct. The VCF has three frequency modulation sources, two of which are normalled to the external pitch and envelope and have switches for polarity.

Add Atlx for dedicated outputs from each mode.

Envelope - A Classic ADSR

The envelope section is an analogue ADSR with three timing ranges: slow, medium, and fast. It can be gated externally or via a manual gate button located in the centre of the panel. The ADSR is routed through a VCA which can be used for level or velocity control.

Modulation - Random, Feedback, and Built-in Routing

Two eight-position rotary switches allow you to select from eight different modulation sources and route them to outputs MOD X and MOD Y. Each switch also has a polarity control and an option to level shift between unipolar and bipolar operation. MOD X is normalled to VCO A frequency modulation and MOD Y is normalled to VCF frequency modulation. The dedicated outputs allow for further creative modulation patching.

Four of the Input jacks have normal switches to change your patch without the need for cables.

The analogue Sample and Hold (S&H) circuit is normalled to the white noise source and can be clocked by VCO B, an external clock source, or via the gate input for per-note synced randomization.

Atlx - Expander w/ Ring Mod (Optional) ***Sold separately ***

The Atlx expander provides 16 additional jacks to the Atlantix, including: dedicated waveform outputs for A and B oscillators, filter outputs, and a ring modulator. Atlx adds many new possibilities for self-patching, advanced routing, and connections to other modules.

Notes: The aux mix 1U is a 3-channel stereo mixer module with a stereo auxiliary send bus. The routing options on this mixer module make using aux mix 1U for send FX, parallel processing, feedback mixing, and more possible. It is designed for audio signals only (not for mixing CV). It is AC-coupled, and uses audio-grade, logarithmic attenuators for a smooth, even response across the entire volume range.

Each channel has a dedicated pair of inputs for stereo audio sources. The left channel inputs are normalled to the right for mono audio sources. All three channels feature a precise level attenuator, a mute switch, and an LED input activity level indicator. The three stereo channels are mixed and summed to the main outputs, where they can be patched out to a wider Eurorack system or external pro-audio equipment. The output stage features soft-clipping diodes for smoother saturation when signal levels are very high.

In addition to the main mix controls, channels 1 & 2 also feature an aux level attenuator with a pre/post switch. These can be used to create an independent aux mix which is routed to another pair of outputs, separate from the main mix. Bifold is a unique dual channel wavefolder with numerous feedback and routing options along with CV control. Mix, blend and crossfade the two different folder flavours into a rich stew of unique waveforms and harmonic movement. It is the first wavefolder to offer simultaneous, independently controllable serial and parallel folder circuits.

Wavefolding is one of the most powerful ways to produce complex timbres out of a simple sound source or waveform. When done well, the results can be warm, textured, organic and full of musical character. Intellijel studied some of the most revered wavefolding circuits and looked at ways to integrate the positive qualities of these into a design that was full of sweet spots and allowed for a huge amount of experimentation and modulation.

Bifold combines two unique wavefolders with a crossfader; One channel (the P channel) has a sonic characteristic inspired by the Buchla-style Parallel "deadband" folding circuit, while the other channel (the S channel) is more characteristic of a Serge-type Serial folding circuit. There are distinct differences to how they react to specific waveforms, modulation and even their overall frequency response. By linking both folders together with a voltage controlled crossfader we further expand the ability to blend these two different folders together to create new waveforms. But this just scratches the surface of possibilities. Ring modulation, blending, crossfading, complex noise generation, feedback modulation, cascaded folding and so much more are all possible thanks to the strategically placed routing switches, jack normals and attenuators and other control options. This is a module that invites much exploration and discovery and pairs well with almost any kind of modulation and sound source.

Intellijel's MIDI 1U system comprises several elements, which work together to provide flexible, programmable MIDI-to-CV conversion to your Eurorack modules: The system comprises two mandatory components, and one optional component:

MIDI 1U module - This 14HP 1U module receives MIDI from an attached, external MIDI input connector (7U case, Palette case, or MIDI IN Jacks 1U module), and extracts (by default) Pitch, Velocity, Mod, CC, Gate, Trig, Clock and Reset messages - sending the proportional voltages to individual 3.5mm jacks for patching.If desired, the CC and MOD jacks may be configured to respond to either Channel Aftertouch or High Resolution CC, and the Reset jacks can be configured as a Run jack, instead. Additionally, MIDI 1U features an alternate Dual Mode, which maintains the Clock & Reset functionality, but uses the other six jacks to transmit Pitch, Velocity and Gate messages derived from two separate MIDI channels.

MIDI input connector - the MIDI 1U module does not have its own MIDI input jack. This enables you to use the MIDI/USB inputs built-in to your Intellijel 7U Performance Case or Palette Case. If you don't own one of these cases, you can purchase the MIDI IN Jacks 1U module to connect an external MIDI device.

CVx 1U module - This optional 14HP 1U module connects to the MIDI 1U module and adds an additional eight 3.5mm CV outputs. These outputs are fully programmable using the Intellijel Config app, and greatly expand MIDI 1U's ability to control your entire Eurorack system.

We wanted to create a module that really worked well in the modular context so there are a lot of modulation and control possibilities.

CHORDS
Oscillator 1 can be operated in a CHORD mode, which runs 8 copies of the oscillator in parallel with adjustable detuning, leading to very fat, rich waveforms. The oscillators have extensive modulation capabilities including audio rate (98KHz) Frequency and Phase Modulation (FM and PM) via external sources. Nonlinear combination processes allow the outputs of the two oscillators to interact to generate complex timbres and sonic textures.
There are 64 user selectable chords.

WAVEFOLDER
The SHAPESHIFTER module also includes the analog wave folder circuitry from

The Dixie II+ is a larger variant of the classic Dixie II. Using the same great triangle core oscillator, it adds a number of features to make it even more versatile with only a modest increase in size. The Dixie II+ makes a great primary oscillator for a modular system, or a great companion the Rubicon.

Notes: The Voltage Controlled Amplifier or "VCA" is one of the most essential and useful building blocks in a synthesis patch. The DUAL VCA 1U packs two high quality, DC coupled, linear VCAs into a very compact 1U package.

The two VCAs can be used completely independently or in tandem via the handy signal normalling. The DC coupling means that the VCA can be used for the amplitude control of both control voltages (CV) and audio signals.

Some application/use examples:

- Dual, independent VCA for dynamic level control of two different audio or cv sources
- Stereo VCA (use the CV normalling where CV A normals to CV B) for processing stereo sources or CV pairs.
- CV/Audio summing (when Out A is not patched, it normals to sum with OUT B, CV A and B control the independent levels)
- Voltage/signal doubling (use input A only and the doubled voltage will appear at OUT B when a CV of +5V applied to CV A)

Notes: Duatt is a dual-channel active/buffered attenuverter and summing mixer. Each channel has a knob, which can function as a unipolar attenuator or a bipolar attenuverter, depending on the setting of its corresponding two-position polarity switch. It's a versatile and super handy utility module that will find its way into almost any patch you make!

Each input is normalled to a built-in +5V DC voltage source. With nothing plugged into the jacks, each knob controls a voltage range of 0 to +5 V or -5 to +5 V depending on the position of the channel polarity switch.

Channel A's output is normalled into the output of channel B for mixing duties, and channel A has a 2x voltage multiplier switch, allowing you to double the voltage sent into Channel A.

Notes: A multi-purpose module designed to combine noise and modulation sources, slew, sample-and-hold, envelope following and more. Extremely versatile way to add randomness and controlled movement to patches.

One of Flurry's more interesting aspects is its collection of digital noises, which provide a wealth of interesting noises, suitable for either audio or modulation purposes. Each noise type has its own pair of unique parameters to further dial in the desired characteristics, with the primary parameter under CV control.

Most people consider noise to be "undesirable," and product developers expend great effort to design circuits that minimize noise. So why make a module designed specifically to create noise?

Indeed, unwanted noise is undesirable. But not all noise is unwanted. Synthesizing the sound of wind or waves are a couple of the more obvious uses for a noise generator, but the possibilities go far beyond. The crack of a snare hit; the breathiness of a flute sound; an added sizzle to a resonant pad - all are within the sonic domain of noise.

But noise has many other benefits beyond simply being heard. Noise happens to make a wonderful modulator. When noise is used to modulate a filter's cutoff frequency, or an oscillator's pitch or pulse width, then all sorts of raspy, buzzy, gritty timbres are obtained.

Noise is also a key ingredient in sample & hold circuits - a technique most commonly used to generate stepped, random voltages. The circuit works by sampling an input signal's voltage each time you send it a clock pulse, and holding that voltage until the next clock pulse. So, naturally, Flurry also contains the requisite clocking tools! Two of the most common destinations for the S&H output are a filter's cutoff frequency (creating stepped, clocked timbral changes), and oscillator pitch (which produces random notes at clocked intervals).
Of course, you might not always want your voltages to change so abruptly at each clock pulse. Maybe you'd prefer they wobble about gradually and with more grace? To do that, you need a slew circuit, and once again Flurry has you covered - allowing you to select not just the slew time, but also whether the slew is applied to rising voltages, falling voltages, or both. A flick of the switch, and that Slew circuit becomes an envelope follower, enabling Flurry to generate envelopes from input signals (syncing to drum hits are a common use).

With all these features, plus the ability to create random pulses, clock to external pulses, and perform more esoteric track & hold duties, Flurry is a noise lover's toolbox.

On first blush, it appears to be a simple 8-stage sequencer - but there is far more functionality than first meets the eye:

There are two tracks (TRK 1 and TRK 2) that are variants of the single master pitch/gate sequencer, which is programmed via the PITCH sliders, PULSE COUNT and GATE TYPE switches. Each track interprets the master sequence in a variety of ways - creating complementary sequence variations that enable you to generate counterpoint, polyrhythms, and all manner of sonic movement (both subtle and extreme). Each of these tracks has its own playback ORDER, sequence LENgth, clock DIVision, SWING amount, SLIDE time, and track GATE lengths. Other track-based sequence variables are accessible from the TRACK MENU, and include Pitch Slider inversion; sequence note range; track transposition; and more. In addition, Tracks 1 & 2 both have multiple lanes of per-stage playback parameters, including: GATE override; PITCH override; RATCHet count; PROBability of playback; ACCUMulating transposition, and a dedicated CV lane. Each stage also has a SKIP feature, and a pitch SLIDE option.

8 separate and individual MODulation lanes are accessed via the MOD button. Each MOD lane has 8-stages of modulation values and its own playback ORDER, LENgth, and clock DIVision; and each lane is routable to one of Metropolix' two assignable outputs or to dozens of internal destinations, allowing for some sophisticated and powerful self-modulation.

A trio of AUX inputs allows for external modulation of user-assignable sequencer parameters for even greater variation, while two assignable CTRL knobs give you direct access to the parameters you want to adjust most frequently during a performance. With dedicated Pitch/Gate outputs for both Track 1 and Track 2; two totally user-assignable outputs (A and B); and internal MOD routing, Metropolix features a wealth of patching opportunities.

Metropolix also features a Loopy mode, allowing you to instantly play back short sub-sequences, or even "play" the stage buttons directly (like a 'keyboard').

Metropolix stores up to 64 preset configurations (in 8 banks of 8 presets), and all live settings are stored in EPROM, ensuring that your Metropolix will always power up exactly as you left it - even if you haven't saved them to a preset. By default presets can change all the structural (menu-based) elements of your sequencer without overwriting the front panel controls, but full recall is also available.

The operation of the Metropolix is optimized for live performance and jamming, with quick access to all the most important performance parameters, and the ability to greatly affect your sequences with a single slider or switch.

Notes: Mixup is a versatile, expandable audio mixer for Eurorack format. It has eight inputs (6 on the front panel) and two outputs. Inputs 1 and 2 are single-channel mono inputs, each with its own mute switch and level control; Input 3 is a dual-channel stereo input with a shared mute and level control; and input 4 is an auxiliary unity-gain, non-mutable stereo input.

Using bus connectors on the back panel, you can chain multiple Mixups together in series, giving you the ability to mix together even more inputs, or to create sub-mixes for routing around larger systems.

Because Mixup is designed specifically for audio (and not for CV mixing), it uses AC-coupled circuitry (which reduces the potential for 'pops' when muting and unmuting audio), and it uses audio-grade, logarithmic attenuators for a smooth, even response across the entire volume range.

Notes: This is the third generation of Intellijel's much loved Korgasmatron filter designed in collaboration with David G. Dixon. The Morgasmatron features two completely independent six-mode filters (labelled "A" and "B") - each with its own mode-select knob, input, output, cutoff, resonance, Q-drive and gain control. Each filter has a pair of CV inputs (one with a built-in attenuator and the other with a built-in attenuverter) for modulating cut-off, and another CV input for modulating resonance. Both filters self-oscillate at maximum Q, and produce pitched sine waves that track the two separate 1V/OCT inputs.

You can use the two filters independently of one another, or you can use them together (in either a series or parallel connection) and smoothly crossfade between them using either the XFADE knob or the XFADE CV input and built-in attenuverter. You can flip the DRY switches to instantly bypass either or both filters; invert the phase of Filter B; or overdrive Filter A by switching on the new Overdrive circuit. A MIX output provides (as you might suspect) a mixed output of the two filters.

On the back of the pcb is a pair of solder points marked as "link". You can connect these (with a solder blob or small jumper wire) to turn the mult into a single 8 channel Mult instead of 2 x 4 channel.

Headphone monitoring is also provided via a low noise built-in headphone amp (with its own independent level control), capable of driving a wide range of impedances - from studio grade headphones to portable style earbuds.

To use Outs, simply connect the final output of your patch to the 1/8" inputs (where the built-in activity LEDs light up to indicate the presence and intensity of the input signal). The left input is normalled to the right, so you can create a stereo signal from a mono source. Or if you have an Intellijel Mixup, you can remove a jumper from its rear panel, and connect it to the Outs module using the 3-pin link cable included with the Mixup.

Notes: Tiny little low-pass gate in Intellijel's compact 1U format. Great value approach to this west coast classic module, based on a vactrol for that natural, organic sound.

Natural dynamics with the magic of vactrols.

In general, low pass gates (LPGs) control the amplitude and timbre of a signal by opening and closing a low pass filter. When the gate is closed, no frequencies are allowed to pass through (and no output is heard). As the gate begins to open, the lowest frequencies pass through to the output. As the gate opens further, the output grows louder and its high frequency content increases.

Traditional Low Pass Gates use vactrols to control the opening and closing of the filter. Encased within a vactrol is both a light source and a light detector. Applying a control voltage to the vactrol lights its internal LED i the brightness of which is measured by its detector. What makes vactrols particularly unique (and well-suited to musical applications) is their non-linear response to voltage - in particular, the way in which the internal LED slowly dims (rather than shutting off instantly) when the control voltage is removed. This sonic coupling of timbre and volume, along with the circuit's natural decay, makes the low pass gate particularly adept at producing tones associated with struck objects, like hand drums or marimbas. Indeed, low pass gates are the main ingredient of the so-called Buchla Bongo sound.

The Intellijel Passive Low Pass Gate 1U is a simple, vactrol based, 1-pole, passive low pass gate, which is controlled by an external CV input. Without positive control voltage, the gate is completely closed and none of the LPG's input signal is passed through to the output. Increasing amounts of positive CV open the gate i making the output signal both louder and brighter. At +5V, the gate is fully open and the input signal is passed through to the output.
This makes LPGs sound very different (and more acoustic) than the traditional complement of envelopes, VCFs and VCAs that are employed in most subtractive synthesizers. Exciting the vactrol (via the CV input) with a trigger, noise blast, or short envelope will result in a very natural sounding filtered envelope that's reminiscent of the sonic characterics of struck objects, which are allowed to decay naturally.

In addition, because this is a passive circuit (no power is applied to it), its sonic characteristics are somewhat dependent upon the audio signal you feed into it, making it a very natural and organic way to shape a signal's volume and tone.

Pairs very well with the intellijel Shifty module to derive polyphony out of a only a few HP of modules.

Notes: The Polaris is a 4-stage cascaded OTA filter designed by David Dixon. It builds on the lineage of the Dr. Octature and Atlantis filters, but with a totally revised core and resonance control. Along with dedicated LP, HP and BP outputs it features a configurable MULTI output capable of an unprecedented 27 different filter modes.

With drive turned down the Polaris is capable of buttery smooth filtering, and the cutoff control range has been fine-tuned for playability. With the drive dialled up and the new asymmetric multi distortion circuit engaged it creates a more aggressive sound. Not content to be just a filter, the Polaris's AP phaser mode combined with frequency modulation can be used to achieve a phaser effect.

With so much versatility in a modest size, the Polaris is an ideal filter for a starter system and an excellent addition to the tonal palette of a larger modular.

Notes: The Quad VCA is a compact and feature packed module that is sure to find its way it almost all of your patches. In addition to being used for standard VCA duties it can also be used as a mixer and signal booster.

Each input is normalled to a precision +5V DC voltage source. With nothing plugged into the jacks, each knob controls a voltage range of 0 to +5 v or -5 to +5 v depending on the position of the mode switch.

The Intellijel Quadrax consists of four independent, CV-controllable channels, each of which can be configured to perform any one of the following functions:

- An AD (Attack, Decay) envelope
- An AHR (Attack, Hold, Release) envelope
- A cycling envelope (resulting in a unipolar LFO)
- A pulse burst generator (Finite repeated functions that ascend or descend in amplitude)
- A morphing, bipolar beat syncable LFO

The envelopes all feature a continuously variable response curve, ranging from logarithmic through linear to exponential, and each stage can be as snappy as 0.3 ms to as lengthy as 20 seconds.

When set to Burst mode, the channel generates a rising or falling burst of pulses, with full control over the length of the pulse burst, the number and shape of the bursts within it, and whether the bursts increase or decrease in amplitude over the burst.

AD, AHR, Cycling and Burst modes all feature a user-selectable maximum output level of either 5V or 10V.

LFO mode offers control over the frequency and waveshape, while providing a unique morphing feature that creates numerous variations of the selected waveshape. LFOs can be either free-running or beat-synchronized using the channel's TRIG input.

Channels can be chained together to create complex multi-stage envelopes, with each channel triggered by the previous channel's trigger input, end-of-rise, or end-of-fall. This enables multiple function generators to fire simultaneously, or it enables the creation of complex multi-stage envelopes by allowing the linked function to fire either at the end of the previous function's rise time, or at the end of its fall time.

Four freely-assignable, step-attenuverted CV inputs are capable of modulating any or all of the various parameters across all four channels using the built-in CV matrix, and built-in attenuversion for each assignment.

Quadrax remembers its current state (Mode and CV assignments, channel links, etc) and retains that state even if power is removed, meaning Quadrax will always turn on in exactly the same state as you last left it.

Notes: The Qx expander adds an EOR (End Of Rise) and an EOF (End Of Fall) trigger/gate output to each of Quadrax's four channels, enabling Quadrax's envelopes, cycles, bursts and LFOs to trigger external modules.

Notes: Scales is an 8hp dual-channel note quantizer and step sequencer. Fundamentally, it takes an input voltage, quantizes it to notes in a user-defined scale, and sends that quantized voltage to an output, where you can use it as a melodic pitch source for oscillators or any other module that expects to see discreet note values at its input.

Scales goes far beyond the fundamental, allowing you unprecedented control of the pitches and intervals hiding inside your control voltages; turn LFO's into arpeggiators; random voltages into harmonic counterpoint; and unquantized external CV sequencers into chromatically tuned note sequencers.

Quantization can be locked to an incoming trigger. There are a number of trigger output options as well, ranging from no triggering (good for pitch shifting drones); through triggers that sync with either of the two outputs (or both); to a trigger or gate transmitted in sync with one sent to the module's TRIG input.

Shift:

Scales features two independent outputs, enabling you to create shifted harmonic intervals within your chosen scale using only a single pitch input. Using the SHIFT input you can modulate changes on OUT A and/or OUT B.

You can also use the shift input to switch between scales or to change the root of any existing scale pattern or split Scales into two quantizers - each conforming to a common scale, but fed entirely different voltage sources.

Sequence:

Scales also features a 128-step SH-101 style step sequencer (complete with storage for up to 35 fully programmable patterns) - allowing you to feed OUT B with sequenced notes and rhythm patterns, while OUT A continues to function as a standard pitch quantizer for external voltages. You can even sync the sequencer to quantizer events on OUT A.

Notes: The Shifty is essentially a combination of four sample and hold stages, a sequential gate and sequencer controller. This collection of functions allows for some specific and useful utility application.

One of the primary uses for Shifty is to take a monophonic sequence source and route each new note of the sequence to up to four different synthesizer voices in a specific pattern. In this way you can create pseudo polyphonic sequences since each voice can be triggered to play and sustain while the next voice int the sequence gets triggered. Another term for this is hocketing.

The other main application of the Shifty is to function as an Analog Shift Register. In this mode each new gate input received causes the current set of pitches to be shifted to new output locations as a new one is added and the oldest one is replaced. This can be an interesting way to create chords that are up to four stacked notes when used with a pitch sequence source that has a harmonious series of notes (e.g. a pentatonic scale works really well). Even just using two of the outputs will yield very interesting melodic interplay and is an excellent way to make a simple sequence much more complex and interesting.

In a more basic way the Shifty could be used as a simple Sample/Track and Hold module or as a sequential gate.

Notes: There are many excellent digital reverbs available these days but there is still nothing quite like the timeless and magical character of a true spring reverb.

For the Intellijel Springray II, each tank has a totally different set of characteristics, with many unexpected surprises when feeding it through a wide variety of sound sources. One of the most interesting results is how a slow attack saw waveform from a Dixie almost sounds like a realistic cello!

Version two of the Springray provides a number of changes and improvements to the original design. The shelving EQs have been replaced with a parametric EQ with frequency, Q, and gain controls. The CV inputs for feedback and mix balance have been replaced with inputs to control the filter frequency and gain. Lastly, the feedback and limiter circuits have been redesigned, and the drive quality has been improved.

The Mult 1U takes one audio or CV signal input, and (mult)iplies to up to four outputs. Because the Mult is passive, it requires no power to operate. Multiply anything by four, twice.

A signal multiplier accepts an input signal and routes it to multiple outputs simultaneously. For example, you might want a sequencer's GATE to trigger two different envelopes - one to control volume and one to control filter frequency. In order to accomplish this, you need a signal multiplier.

Push (or Pulse) the Envelope

Snappy, classically analogue envelopes with visually intuitive controls. Add a powerful, cv controllable cyclical gate generator, integrated VCA, and trigger buttons -then double it-now you've got Tangrams.

Tangrams, like the Dual ADSR before it, is a dual analogue core-envelope inspired by the Roland SH-101 / System 100m design with several enhancements. Taking further inspiration from trapezoidal function generators like the one on the EMS Synthi, Intellijel have added a voltage-controlled pulser circuit to link the triggering of two envelopes - allowing for delayed one-shots, cycling organic envelopes, and more. In addition, Intellijel added two VCAs for level control of each envelope, or alternatively, direct injection of the signal you'd like to envelope - freeing up your other VCAs.

The Pulser

The Pulser can be thought of as a way to set both a gate ON time (T1) and an OFF time (T2). In this way, you could configure a cycling ADSR that has a gate time that is different from the interval between gates. Alternatively, you can create a sequence where ADSR2 is triggered by a delayed amount of time after ADSR1 is triggered (either cyclically or in a single shot sequence). The panel switches for routing or disabling the pulse sources allow for even more complex combinations of control beyond these examples. This special combination of functions can yield a plethora of interesting and organic envelope and gate patterns to be created; cyclical and single shot.

There is also variable slew that allows you to morph/glide between the values.

NOTES mode:

You can create sequences or loops in chord, scales or keyboard mode. The isomorphic keyboard grid can vary from 4 notes to 12 notes max. There are real-time performance looping, transposition and inversion capabilities via the CV inputs and dedicated loop button. In sequencer mode each step can be a tie, rest, or gate with size 25/50/75%. Basically we have created a way to very quickly and intuitively make chord sequences that are very musical and easy to manipulate. It is difficult to summarize in words but we will be sure to create some videos to demonstrate how easy and fun this is to play with. It definitely represents something unique in the landscape of Eurorack sequencers.

COMBO mode:

In this mode you can loop record your performance on any combination of the following functions:

fader, bipolar fader, drum hit, switch or LFO. Kind of like Elektron style parameter locking but all of the motions is recorded continuously instead of just in slices. Instantly turn a simple patch into a highly animated and complex beast.

With all of the above mentioned loop recording modes you can very easily overdub since the Tetrapad detects pressure/pressing. In combo mode you can erase individual channels.

All modes allow for internal or external clocking and configurable syncing.

All of the modes have special XYZ CV modulation assignments and make use of the dedicated CV outputs.

For example, in Looper mode one of the CV outputs generates a continuous ramp that represents the position in the loop. This can be used with devices like the Planar 2 in Interpolation mode to sync the recorded patterns together no matter what tempo.

Notes: Tetrapad is a versatile, multi-dimensional, touch-sensitive control surface for Eurorack. Each of its four pads use force sensing resistors to respond to both the vertical position of your finger and its pressure. Four push encoders and a shift function give you even more tactile control over your modular system.

Tetrapad operates in numerous modes - each of which configures the module to perform a specific control task. Through these modes, Tetrapad can emulate a bank of faders; a voltage storage device; a finger drumming surface; a chord generator; an 8-key keyboard; four independent LFOs; or an 8-switch panel. The chosen mode determines what type of signal (CV, note, trigger, gate, etc.) is sent from each of Tetrapad's eight independent outputs, while its multitude of multi-coloured LEDs keep you informed of exactly what's happening within each mode.

Tetrapad automatically remembers how you've configured each of its modes and retains these settings when powered off. By default, Tetrapad automatically saves these settings every minute, or whenever you change modes. This makes Tetrapad ideal for live performance, since you know it will always power up with your configurations intact.

Notes: Triplatt is a three-channel active/buffered attenuverter and summing mixer. Each channel has a knob, which can function as a unipolar attenuator or a bipolar attenuverter, depending on the setting of its corresponding two-position polarity switch.

Each input is normalled to a built-in precision +5V DC voltage source. With nothing plugged into the jacks, each knob controls a voltage range of 0 to +5 V or -5 to +5 V depending on the position of the channel polarity switch. Outputs A and B are also capable of a range of 0-10 / -10 to +10 when using the special function switches.

Each output is normalled to mix into the output of the channel below, making it possible to do sub mixes in groups of two or three.

In addition, each channel has a "special function" switch to alter its input voltage in a specific way. Channel A has a 2x voltage multiplier switch, allowing you to double the voltage sent into Channel A. Channel B has a +5V switch, allowing you to add 5V to whatever voltage is sent into Channel B. Channel C has a mute switch, allowing you to completely turn off the signal being sent into Channel C.

Notes: Dual 3:1 audio and cv mixer (up to three buffered inputs with a single buffered output).

NOTE: Version 2 of the Unity Mixer has two sets of jumpers on the main pcb. These allow the top and bottom sum to be set to -6dB attenuation instead of unity gain. This creates more headroom when summing higher amplitude sources like raw VCO signals.

Notes: Originally designed for the Metropolix 1.4 MIDI update, the USB Extender extends the USB Micro connector on the back of a module, bringing it to the front panel for easy connection to your USB Host.

The 3U panel, includes a dual passive mult, which is great for splitting output signals to other modules. You can swap the panel with a Phillips-head screwdriver. The 1U panel does not have mults.

Also included is a 60CM Right-Angle Micro USB to Micro USB cable for routing the connection beneath the modules.

This module comes with a custom USB cable that connects on the back of the module to the Metropolix. The product comes with both 3U and 1U faceplates so you have the option to use it in either space.

This tiny but handy module connects the USB A connector to the +5V bus on the Intellijel TPS series powered busboards. Allowing 1A or more of current to be supplied to USB devices such as lamps, phone chargers, and usb powered musical devices.

It connects to the bus via supplied two-pin cable.
