Review: Frenetika Records have set up shop in Nova Prata, southern Brazil, focusing solely on cyborg electro for the data-mined and/or data-minded. The label now returns for its second outing with 'Magia Da Vudu' EP, where the EP's title elegies a close friend and local musical inspiration, Thaina Severo, aka Vudu. Further rooted in personal connection, the EP brings three rising talents to the fore, all of whom hail from areas close to the Amazon Basin: Molen (Uruguay), Trajano (Brazil) and Alquimic (Peru). Each contributes one tune to work both alone and in sequence, balancing distinct moods but a shared sonic DNA.
