The JMT Synth NOISY MIC-2 is a unique vocal instrument and processor designed for extreme textures stemming from the human voice. The multiplexer circuit combines the microphone output with a switchable internal VCO, this mixed signal is then passed through a high-gain distortion equipped with an equalizer for final tone-shaping. The VCO can be modulated by an LFO or an external CV source for complex FM-like timbres. This combination of simple circuits forms a unique vocal processor with a wide range of timbres and effects. The microphone is outfitted with a mute switch, making it suitable for live performance.
