Packed portable keyboard controller with 49 full-size keys, PC, Mac, iPad compatible
Notes: There's no shortage of portable MIDI keyboard controllers on the market, but portability often equates to subpar keyboard action. With the new A-49, the game has changed i this lightweight, slim-line controller features a premium-grade, full-size keyboard that raises the bar in its class. Available in pearl white and black finishes, the A-49 is a dream for musicians seeking a simple, easy-to-use MIDI keyboard with pro-quality playing feel.

The A-49's keys have a rounded shape for better reaction to the player's touch and more comfortable glissandi. Other enhancements have been made to reduce the already low mechanical noise and eliminate vertical shake. All of these features add up to a keyboard that even the most discerning pros will appreciate.

Add color to your sound and excitement to your performance by waving your hands over the invisible D-Beam. The A-49 can assign all its controllers automatically for fully utilizing an external SuperNATURAL sound module such as the Integra-7. It's also a great second keyboard for controlling synthesizers that have onboard SuperNATURAL sounds, such as the Jupiter-80 and Jupiter-50.

The A-49 was born for mobile use. It's strong yet amazingly lightweight (less than 6 pounds/2.5 kg), making it easy to lift and carry. And although it has a very streamlined design, the A-49 features a full-size, premium keyboard with 49 velocity-sensitive keys.

For the ultimate in portable convenience, the A-49 is powered from your computer's USB bus, no power cable or adapter is required. It draws a minimal amount of current, which is ideal for a USB bus-powered device.

The A-49 provides clean connections via its recessed rear panel, so you can place a computer monitor or laptop in the perfect position for creating music. 2 x knobs, 2 x switches, and the D-Beam controller are all easily accessible and intelligently arranged to make your workflow fast and fluid. Dedicated octave buttons offer immediate control of the key scale, and a transpose button is provided for adjusting the scale in semitone steps; LED indicators give you instant visual feedback of your octave/transpose settings. Other settings can be accessed via the Function button, which lets you use the keys to perform additional tasks printed above the keyboard.

The A-49 can be connected to the iPad via Apple's Camera Connection Kit. Recently, many musicians have gravitated toward their Apple iPads to record musical ideas. While there are small MIDI keyboards that can be used with the iPad, the A-49 gives you pro playability as well as mobility. Its clean, clutter-free surface and excellent feel keeps your fingers on the keys and your mind on the music.

Keyboard synthesiser using Roland's anologue circuit behaviour technology to merge classic and modern sounds
Notes: Meet the SYSTEM-1, a synthesizer probably unlike any you've encountered before. Like its predecessors, the SYSTEM-1 breaks new ground with remarkable flexibility and access to a vast palette of synthesized sounds with the bold and unmistakable character associated with Roland synthesizers for nearly four decades.

At the heart of the SYSTEM-1's sound is our new Analogue Circuit Behaviour technology (ACB) which we use to carefully analyse every aspect of analogue circuits and then faithfully recreate them down to the finest details. This technology fills the SYSTEM-1 with a fusion of beautifully classic and utterly modern synthesizer tones.

The SYSTEM-1 can control and even host software recreations of classic Roland synthesizers. That's right. The SYSTEM-1 can control plug-in versions of now legendary Roland synths, and those same plugins can be hosted in the SYSTEM-1 itself - with no computer required. You can even switch between the SYSTEM-1's internal sounds and those of the hosted plug-in. We call this wizardry "PLUG-OUT" - and we're pretty excited about it.

And we think you'll be excited too once you experience the supreme authenticity of the upcoming SH-101 softsynth, with the SYSTEM-1 providing an intuitive and fully automatic one-to-one control interface that just works. Let's be honest - who could make a better plug-in version of a classic Roland synth than Roland?

And the SH-101 is just the beginning.

The SYSTEM-1 not only sounds amazing, but it also has a totally innovative design with performance ready controls, quality construction, and a dizzying array of lights and knobs and sliders.

You can connect the SYSTEM-1 to your computer via its USB jack to send and receive audio and MIDI data.

The SYSTEM-1 can receive MIDI clock information to sync with external devices including other AIRA series units.

The SYSTEM-1 is designed to work seamlessly and look great with other products in the AIRA series.

Roland Aira TB3 Touch Bassline (bass synthesizer)
Cat: 522654 Rel: 17 Apr 14

Bass synthesiser based on the classic TB-303
Notes: Based on the wildly influential TB-303, the new TB-3 Touch Bassline is a performance-ready bass synth with meticulously authentic sound and intuitive controls engineered to play.

It's the TB...

...Evolved.

Nobody could have anticipated what would happen to the world of dance music when Roland's now-legendary TB-303 was embraced by inventive musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. Since the 1980s, the TB-303 has been a staple of electronic music. It is the defining sound of Acid House and has since been the marquis instrument on an array of groundbreaking electronic dance tracks. It's not only been used to write songs, but it has songs written about it. In fact, the release of the TB-303 has been heralded as one the key events in the history of dance music. Not bad for a little silver box.

Launched in 1981, the TB-303 continues to be an indispensable bass synth for dance music. Roland have meticulously analysed the circuitry of the TB-303 piece-by-piece and down to the individual circuit behaviour.

Using Analogue Circuit Behaviour technology Roland have fully reproduced both the saw-tooth and square wave oscillators as well as the -18dB/octave ladder low pass filter used in the original TB-303, capturing that unmistakable cutoff and resonance character.

In addition to the faithful reproductions of classic TB tones, the TB-3 is packed with 134 sounds that live and breathe. Bubbling synth basses, hard distortion basses, trippy delay sounds and drippy effects. They're all here - and then some.

A TB bass line not only sounds unique, but it has its own trademark feel as well. The TB pulses. It drives. It bubbles and it percolates. That's why Roland worked so hard to faithfully reproduce the Accent, Slide, and Step Sequencer behaviour of the original unit.

But Roland's vision went beyond simple reproduction.

The truth is, the step entry on the original TB-303 was difficult to use, the keyboard was difficult to play, and special manoeuvres were required for the shuffle functions.

So Roland experimented with a variety of prototypes in our quest to create the optimal TB interface.

The new TB-3 is equipped with a brightly lit, green and red, pressure sensitive touch pad that lets you seamlessly create patterns and interact with the unit during performance. In addition to pitch and volume, you can tweak filters and even control modulation by simply pressing down on the pad with your finger. It also makes the keyboard a breeze to play.

The TB-3's evolved Step Sequencer is easy to use and allows seamless switching between pattern creation and performance. Of course, an attractive aspect of the original TB-303 was how it would sometimes generate unintended sounds as the user maneuvered through its complex and cryptic pattern creation operation. In order to inject that element of chance and discovery, the TB-3 has automatic pattern generation and random pattern modification.

The TB-3's Scatter function features slicing, reverse, gating and other effects, instantly creating variations, stutters, and glitches that would normally require painstaking editing in a DAW. Complex, per-step functions are triggered easily with the Touch Pad and a single finger. Keep things fresh and interesting with 8 different types of Scatter variations and 10 levels of Scatter Depth - all controllable in realtime and in perfect sync.

You can connect the TB-3 to your computer via its USB jack for USB bus power and to send and receive Audio and MIDI data.

The TB-3 can receive MIDI clock information to sync with external devices including other AIRA series units.

The TB-3 is designed to work seamlessly and look great with other products in the AIRA series.

Cat: 522657 Rel: 01 May 14

Easy voice transformation with vocoder, lo-fi effects, and synths you can sing

Boutique Series synthesiser module based on the original Roland D-50
Notes: Released in 1987, the Roland D-50 Linear Synthesizer is easily one of the most influential keyboards ever made. This revolutionary instrument helped define the sound of the late '80s with its instantly recognizable mix of sampled attacks and synthesized sustaining waveforms, plus built-in chorus, reverb, and EQ. It's the basis of classic tracks in a wide range of genres including synth pop, new wave, new jack, and R&B, and can be heard in countless film scores of the era. With the Roland D-05, you get the iconic sound and dedicated control of the D-50 in a modern device that perfectly recreates the legendary synth down to its finest details.

Vintage Digital:

When most people think of vintage synthesizers, they think of analog beasts with lots of knobs and sliders. The 1980s ushered in something new: sleek keyboards with digital engines that brought musicians and producers a totally new palette of sounds not previously possible with analog.

As Roland's first all-digital performance keyboard, the D-50 took the world by storm with its unique mix of sampled attack transients and synthesized waveforms combined with built-in digital effects and...a joystick!

Name a famous track from the late '80s to early '90s and there's a good chance it was built around one or more Roland D-50 sounds. Unabashedly digital, the D-50 has taken its rightful place in the hallowed halls of classic vintage synthesizers. Its sound is unique and beautiful, and it brings a certain "something" to your tracks that you just can't get anywhere else.

New Wave. New Jack. New Age. And So On:

The '80s were a dynamic period for pop music. Producers were trying new things, looking for new sounds, and new genres were being forged at a furious pace. From 1987 on, the Roland D-50 was massively influential and appeared in studios and on stages around the world. Some of the most revered recording artists in history have used the beautifully crafted presets, unaltered, as the cornerstone of huge international hits. There's just something about the quality of its sound that grabs you. And with the Roland D-05, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of this trailblazing synthesizer by putting all the powerful beauty of the D-50 into the modern Roland Boutique format.

Samples Meet Synthesis:

So, what exactly made this synth so attention-grabbing? The D-50 used an innovative mixture of short, sampled attack transient waveforms blended with digitally synthesized sustaining sounds. This technique, dubbed "Linear Arithmetic (LA) Synthesis," offered the realism of expensive (at that time) digital samplers, the expressiveness of a synth, and the polish of a high-end studio thanks to onboard digital effects. It's no wonder the D-50 became one of the best-selling professional keyboards in history.

But thirty years on, the combination of sampling and synthesis is as relevant today as the era in which the D-50 shined so brightly. Dig deeper into the structures of the LA Synthesis sound engine and you can create powerful percussive patches, smooth ambient pads, and staccato sequencer sounds that give you that "something new" you've been looking for.

LA Boutique:

The compact form factor of the Roland Boutique line provides professional synthesizers designed to fit in any studio, stage, or music space. At the D-05's core lies the first synthesizer with Digital Circuit Behaviour (DCB) technology combined with the exact PCM attack and loop samples as the original D-50, precisely recreating every tonal nuance in stunning detail. The user interface is totally authentic as well, with the inclusion of plenty of direct-access controls. Even the all-important joystick is included to smoothly morph between different mixes of Upper and Lower Tones, perfect for performance and sound design.

But the D-05 also has some exciting updates. The 64-step, polyphonic sequencer is great for performance and sparking new ideas. It can store tempo and patch changes, and can sequence shuffle and gate timing. And the built-in arpeggiator adds movement to the already evocative sounds. The D-05 is rugged and compact, runs on batteries or USB power, and can go just about anywhere. You get flexible connectivity with audio and MIDI over USB, space-saving 1/8" analog jacks, and 5-pin MIDI ports. The D-05 can even be an audio interface for your computer, meaning less stuff to carry around, fewer cables, and faster setup.

And because the D-05 is compatible with Roland Boutique accessories, you can put it in the optional DK-01 Boutique Dock for a compact enclosure that offers various tilt options, or the K-25m Keyboard Unit for a fully playable D-50 that slips into a backpack. With all this power and flexibility, you may be most surprised by the D-05's affordable price, which puts the iconic D-50 experience within reach of just about anyone.

Synthesiser based on the classic Roland SH-101 featuring Analog Circuit Behaviour technology - blue edition
Notes: The SH-01A is a meticulous reproduction of the iconic Roland SH-101, one of the most popular classic synthesizers of all time. Analog Circuit Behaviour (ACB) technology reproduces the SH-101's legendary sounds by faithfully recreating the actual behaviour of the original analog circuits, right down to the fine details and odd quirks that have endeared the synth to musicians and producers for decades. The SH-01A builds on the great sounds and creative immediacy of the original, now in the popular Roland Boutique format - offering exciting new polyphonic capabilities, inspiring new performance features, and a level of authenticity that could only come from Roland.

Beauty Through Simplicity:

The now-legendary SH-101 was a seemingly simple monophonic synthesizer launched in 1982. Unlike more complex synthesizers available at the time, the SH-101 quickly became popular for its characteristic tone and simple one-VCO, one-VCF, one-VCA, one-LFO structure. A legion of artists found it quick to program and adept at bright edgy tones and exciting sound effects. Its bass sounds are universally revered, and somehow any sound it produces always just fits perfectly in a mix.

More than thirty years later, the SH-101's hallmark sounds continue to be sought after by electronic artists the world over. It's a staple of vintage synth collectors and well-equipped, world-class studios, and now returns as the inspiration for the SH-01A.

An Inspired, Iconic Sequencer Revisited:

One of the most creative features of the original SH-101 was its 100-note step sequencer. Press Load, add sequential notes with legato and rests, and press Play. Easy. Designed to inspire through simplicity, the SH-101 sequencer has been the source of countless bass lines and lead melodies on legendary dance tracks. But the limitation of playing one sequence back at a time has been resolved with the SH-01A. Now you can save and access 64 sequence patterns, perfect for any performance situation. Recall any pattern at any time, and use the iconic sequencer to control your modular rig, hardware synthesizers, and software plugins via CV/Gate, MIDI, and USB. Let the SH-01A be the heart of your electronic instrument setup, on stage or in the studio.

Portable. Performer:

The simple design of the SH-101 made patch creation immediate, with sounds quickly forming under the movement of each key and slider. But that inspiring sound could vanish as quickly as it appeared due to its lack of patch memory. The SH-01A adds 64 writeable patches that can serve as presets for different tracks or quick starting points for experimenting with new sound designs, making inspiration only a button press away.

The SH-01A takes the original SH-101's portability and stage prowess to a whole new level. It's small enough to take just about anywhere, yet ruggedly built with sturdy knobs, metal-shaft sliders, and solid silver buttons like the original. It has several tilt options for easy viewing in various live and studio scenarios, and can serve as a low-latency, portable audio interface. In addition, it has a built-in speaker, and even runs on batteries. And when mounted in the optional K-25m Keyboard Unit, it can be used as a compact, all-in-one synth with 25 velocity-sensitive keys. With all this power and flexibility, you may be most surprised by the SH-01A's affordable price, which puts the iconic SH-101 mojo within reach of just about anyone.

A is for Authentic:

Original SH-101s are becoming increasingly rare, making them ever more expensive on the used market. Because of this, many have resorted to sample packs, hardware knockoffs, or software plug-ins loosely inspired by the SH-101. The SH-01A accurately recreates what makes the original so special, and the interface, while more compact, is 100% authentic.

The sound is vibrant and alive thanks to proprietary Analog Circuit Behaviour (ACB) technology, which carefully recreates all the details and quirks of the original hardware by modelling each analog circuit, right down to the component level. Face-to-face consultation with the original designers and relentless research beyond the original schematics provides meticulously recreated oscillator, filter, and envelope behaviour - a perfect foundation to build upon for a new generation of '101' fans.

Did You Say Polyphonic:

The SH-101 found its power in a huge monophonic voice for a wide variety of sounds. The SH-01A now has four huge voices, allowing for more modes to expand upon the original's sound palette. On top of the classic Mono mode, you can stack the four voices in Unison mode to add some punch to your bass and lead lines. Chord mode layers any four notes, and can be shifted up and down in semi-tone intervals. Poly mode allows for four notes to be played simultaneously, making the famous monosynth now capable of pads and chords.

Roland Boutique VP03 Vocoder (synthesizer/vocoder)
Cat: 626163 Rel: 27 Oct 16

Compact & portable recreation of the iconic VP-330 Vocoder Plus
Notes: The VP-03 is a miniature version of the VP-330 Vocoder Plus, one of the most popular vocoders ever made. Part of the Roland Boutique series, the VP-03 brings together the worlds of synthesized sound and the human voice, using the latest ACB technology to accurately emulate the sound that made the original so influential. The VP-03 has the VP-330's vocoder, human voice, and strings sound sources on board, and comes with a gooseneck microphone. And when paired with the optional K-25m Keyboard Unit, you've got the authentic VP-330 vibe in a reliable, low-cost setup that's highly portable. There are new features too, including 16 Chord Memory setups and a Voice Step Sequencer for even more creative potential. Whether you want the classic, electro-infused 'talking robot' sound or the expressive power of shaping synth sounds with the human voice, the VP-03 puts it all at your fingertips.

New Voice Step Sequencer:
The VP-03 includes a new Voice Step Sequencer not included in the original VP-330, which allows you to input a single note, chord, or your voice into each of the 16 steps, with each step comprising up to six notes. The result is a distinctive rhythmic effect that brings dynamic motion to the VP-03. You can use a series of functions to change the order of steps within the sequence for unpredictable and inspiring results. Saving your best sequences to a computer via USB is easy using the backup/restore function.

New Chord Memory Function:
Another new function not found in the original VP-330 is Chord Memory, which lets you play back chords using just one finger. With 16 locations available, you can quickly store and recall your favourite chords using one of the 16 step buttons. You can also create your own chords and save them into these locations, and back them up to your computer using the backup/restore function.

Connect with External Gear:
In addition to line and headphone outputs (both in mini-jack format), the VP-03 is equipped with a full-size XLR mic input. Simply connect the supplied gooseneck mic to fully unlock the VP-03's creative potential, using your voice (or any other sound) to filter and shape the on-board synthesized sounds. You can also connect the VP-03 to other devices, either through the standard MIDI IN/OUT ports or via a Micro-B USB connection that handles both audio and MIDI data.

Optional K-25m Keyboard Unit:
The VP-03 works especially well with the K-25m, an optional 25-note keyboard that takes your music making to the next level. Once docked in the keyboard, the module's front panel adjusts to three positions for convenient access to the knobs and sliders. Just attach the included gooseneck mic and you're ready to go!

Battery or USB Bus Power:
Some of the best music is made away from the studio, so the Roland Boutique series runs on 4 x AA batteries, ready for when inspiration strikes. Alternatively, you can use the VP-03 with USB bus power. Incredibly portable, the VP-03 weighs just 940 g/33 oz. with the batteries installed.

USB Audio Interface for Direct Recording to Your DAW:
Via its USB port, the VP-03 also functions as a high-quality audio interface, providing a simple and reliable way of recording directly to your DAW application. You can keep your favourite settings and voice step sequencer patterns safe too via the USB data backup function.

Standalone professional 2 channel DJ controller with Serato DJ Intro software
Notes: The Roland DJ-202 is a forward-thinking Serato DJ Intro controller that gives DJs the features and layout of a full-size professional controller in a rugged and portable unit. The compact DJ-202 preserves the concept of the flagship DJ-808 and streamlined DJ-505, allowing unparalleled flexibility to DJ, remix, and produce beats on the fly while performing live or creating in the studio. With its large, low-latency platters, dedicated pad and transport controls, onboard sequencer, and mic input with professional vocal FX, the DJ-202 packs in the most features of any controller in its class.

Superior Portability for Discerning DJs:

The DJ-202 is a two-channel, four-deck controller that's powered via USB and capable of being transported and set up with minimal effort. Its compact, lightweight design and easy-grab handles allow DJs the portability they need for all types of events - mobile applications, house parties, club rocking, beat battles, and more. The intuitive layout of the DJ-202 and its plug-and-play connectivity will have you DJing in no time at all. And with 24-bit/48 kHz fidelity and Roland's high-resolution audio hardware, your performances will sound amazing on any sound system.

Mixing and Scratching:

Scratch and cue with confidence using the DJ-202's large, low-latency platters, which are the absolute best in its class. Dedicated Serato DJ Intro controls allow quick creation and triggering of hot cues, loops, and samples, plus switching between four decks with the Deck Select button. Use the channel filters or Serato FX (accessible via three FX Select buttons per deck) to finesse blends or accentuate scratches. And with dedicated Play/Pause and Cue buttons, you have the same direct control found on high-end controllers and standalone audio players.

Remix, Produce, Perform:

Use the TR drums or your own sounds loaded into Serato Sampler's four sample slots (with individual sampler volume control) to create the foundation for remixes, beats, and live performances. Program them using the DJ-202's 16-step sequencer - accessible via the performance pads - and then sync them automatically to your Serato library to create unique transitions, live remixes, or beefed-up classic tracks. Engage Inst-Rec mode for on-the-fly, real-time Serato Sampler sequencing, or use the MIDI output to fluidly sync any MIDI-supported external devices and instruments to your sequencer and Serato DJ Intro. For expanded production capability, upgrade to Serato DJ to access 32 sync-able sampler slots over four banks, the full collection of iZotope FX, software recording capabilities, and more.

The Roland Drum Machine Legacy in a DJ Controller:

From the TR-909's unmistakable hi-hats to the foundation-shaking boom of the TR-808, Roland TR drum machines have defined the sound of entire genres of modern music, from hip-hop, house, techno, and electro in the '80s and '90s right up to the trap music sound of today. Using Roland's patented ACB (Analog Circuit Behaviour) technology, the DJ-202 faithfully recreates the original sound of these machines, giving you the tools to create rhythm tracks using the same sound palette as the world's foremost musical icons. The DJ-202's expanded TR sounds include Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Closed Hat, Open Hat, Tom, Rim, Clap, and Ride, providing a wide range of options to create layered drum sounds and evolving sequences.

Bring Vocals to Life:

Add new life to your DJ voice, radio drops, guest vocals, or external instruments via the 1/4-inch TS mic input with onboard reverb and echo FX. Additional vocal effects include low-cut EQ to refine the sound and a noise gate to automatically clean up sound issues and unwanted background noise.

The DJ-505 also lets you fine-tune your TR drum sounds and samples using Level, Attack, Decay, and Tune knobs, and easily build sequences with the famous step-based TR-S pad interface.

Road-Ready Remixing On the Go:

The DJ-505 gives you the tools to not only mix, but also create new music and rhythmic elements on the fly to truly transform the musical dynamic and energy of your performance. From the simple addition of a booming 808 kick drum to a classic track to programming your own beat combined with an acapella, the DJ-505 makes blending multiple musical elements easy and instinctive. Light and portable with road-ready durability, the DJ-505 combines the best hardware performance and sound quality in its class with new possibilities for creative DJs and performing producers.

Scratch Friendly:

The DJ-505's large, low-latency platters provide responsive, lag-free performance that allows for the same style of scratches executed on turntables, and the illuminated outer rings on the jog wheels indicate the status of each deck at a glance. Plus, the DJ-505's platters have brushed aluminium top plates just like the DJ-808 and DJ-202 controllers, providing both great feel and rugged durability.

Remix, Produce, Perform:

The DJ-505's rich feature set and deep Serato DJ integration empower new creative possibilities for the budding DJ/producer, allowing for remixing, production, and performance all in one compact unit. Use the 16-step sequencer to program drum patterns with sounds from the TR drums or Serato Sampler, and then sync the beats to your Serato DJ tracks to create unique transitions, live remixes, beefed-up classic tracks, or original music. Engage Inst-Rec mode for on-the-fly, real-time sampler sequencing, or use Serato Sampler's advanced capabilities to layer and sync multiple audio tracks or loops within the eight sampler slots. Finally, the DJ-505 includes a MIDI output to accurately sync your external MIDI devices and instruments to the TR-S sequencer.

Customize your beats on the fly and in the moment using the DJ-808's built-in TR drum machine with its iconic sounds and 16-step sequencer that stays in perfect sync with Serato DJ.

The integrated TR drum machine contains the Bass Drum, Snare Drum, Hi-Hats and Clap from the TR-808, TR-909, TR-707, and TR-606 drum machines - the rhythmic foundation of a lot of dance music. These sounds use Roland's acclaimed and award-winning Analog Circuit Behaviour, faithfully replicating the original electronic circuitry of these influential rhythm boxes. It means you get all the thump and sizzle of the classic instruments, with dedicated knobs to control tuning, attack, and decay - putting a new twist on these legendary sounds.

In addition to the internal TR drum sounds, the TR-S sequencer can also trigger the new 8-slot Serato Sampler within Serato DJ. You can mix and match individual drum sounds, layer kicks and snares, and build drum parts limited only by your creativity.

Deep Serato DJ control:

Careful design considerations in the Roland DJ-808 take full advantage of everything Serato DJ has to offer. Built-in DVS support (with the purchase of a Serato DVS license), dedicated loop control buttons, controls for Serato Flip, HOT CUE, FX, even Key Sync - it is all there. Key Sync and Loop functions get dedicated sections so you can quickly adjust the key or shift the loop for a particular deck. The design of every pad, slider and button is with performance in mind. This workflow feels familiar and yet new and exciting, all at the same time.

Cut, scratch and cue with the high-performance platters:

The large, high-quality platters feel great and have the lowest latency of any DJ controller available. You get incredibly tight control over your music with super-fast scratches and cuts. The durable and responsive platters have integrated displays that clearly show playback status so you're always in control. You can even control two decks simultaneously from a single platter with dual deck mode.

Expand your DJ setup on stage and in the studio:

If you are a producer, a DJ, or both, the built-in connectivity for synths, turntables, microphones and more allows the DJ-808 to take your craft to a completely new level. Two AIRA link USB ports let you easily connect compatible Roland instruments and effects with a single USB cable. Trigger synchronized keyboard arpeggios or play live bass lines, leads and sound effects. One connection is all you need to inject your DJ sets or productions with exciting musical elements that can easily sync to your Serato DJ tracks.

Pitch Perfect with Voice Transformer and Serato Key:

Not only does the DJ-808 have a high quality mic input with an XLR combo jack, but also has a dedicated vocal processor, the VT Voice Transformer, that can drastically transform your voice. Knobs for EQ, Pitch and Formant make dramatic vocal effects easy and the ducking capability will automatically adjust the volume when speaking or singing into the mic. And the VT's Auto Pitch function will even re-pitch the incoming signal to match the key of your Serato DJ tracks.

Lightweight keyboard synthesiser with 37 note keyboard
Notes: With its massive sound, hands-on ease, and affordable price, the GAIA SH-01 is a high-performance value with old-school charm. The triple-stacked engine puts potent virtual analog synthesis under your fingertips, yet the control panel is so fun, friendly, and inviting, even first-timers can create great sounds. The signal flow is simple to grasp, with logically arranged knobs, sliders, and buttons. Hands-on control and fat sound make this little powerhouse a joy for music students, songwriters, session players, and live performers of all styles and skill levels.

Sink your teeth into the new triple stacked virtual analogue engine, comprising three complete synths for incredibly thick, powerful sound. Unleash the beef of three oscillators which drive a trio of multimode, resonant filters, multi-shape LFOs, and amplifiers, plus nine envelope generators. It's like having 3 x synthesizers in one. With 64 x polyphonic voices onboard, the GAIA SH-01 makes it possible to play massive sounds without experiencing note drop out.

From the silkiest reverb to the grittiest growl, the SH-01's instantly selectable multi-effects will catapult your sounds into another dimension. You can layer up to 5 x simultaneous effects for dozens of variations. The onboard effects include reverb, distortion, fuzz, bit crash, flanger, phaser, pitch shifter, low boost, and delay with panning and tempo sync. Dedicated control knobs are provided for tweaking the effects in real time.

At less than 10 pounds (approx. 4 kg/9 lbs), the GAIA SH-01 is lightweight, compact, and great for musicians on the go. However, the 37-note keyboard is full-size, so performers can play naturally and comfortably. The synth can be powered via AC or batteries (can be powered by eight rechargeable Ni-MH AA batteries) for the ultimate in portable convenience. A battery-life indicator on the front panel ensures that you won't lose power unexpectedly. When used in conjunction with a battery-powered amp such as Roland's Cube Street, Mobile Cube, BA-330 or KC-110, the GAIA SH-01 can be played and heard anywhere.

The front panel puts every control directly under your fingertips. There are no hidden menus you can just play. And move the knobs and sliders, or wave your hands over the invisible D-beam for dramatic effects. The logically designed front panel shows the signal path from left to right. It helps beginners understand synthesis, while experienced players will love the instant gratification of hands-on control during performance.

Hold a note or chord and let the arpeggiator create musical magic automatically for you. The tempo can be set via tap tempo. In addition, the onboard Phrase Recorder lets you record what you play on the keyboard as well as the movements of the knobs and sliders. The controller data can also be played back independently to complement the notes you play in real time.

Connect directly to a computer (Mac or PC) with one simple USB cable, and stream audio directly to the software of your choice. The SH-01's USB ports can also be used to transmit and receive MIDI data, and to store your patches and phrases (recorded with the Phrase Recorder) to a USB memory stick. For integrating with external devices, the SH-01's EXT input lets you connect external audio sources such as an MP3-player and play along with your favourite songs or backing tracks, making it great for practice and live performance. Manipulate the incoming audio with three Center Cancel modes, which let you eliminate pre-recorded vocals, guitars, or bass.

Palm-sized audio mixer/interface for smartphones & computers
Notes: Whether you're a musician, podcaster or live streamer, high-quality audio can make or break your productions. And although your smartphone's built-in microphones are fine for everyday use, to impress your listeners you'll need superior quality and more control over your audio. Roland's GO:MIXER PRO is the easiest way for content creators to connect and mix up to nine audio inputs, including pro-quality powered microphones, guitar/bass and line-level gear. Just plug in, set the volume levels and go; the resulting stereo audio output is sent straight to your smartphone, ready for uploading and sharing. And if you'd like to make your videos stand out, GO:MIXER PRO works with Roland's unique smartphone apps including 4XCAMERA or Virtual Stage Camera. GO:MIXER PRO is the ideal solution for adding professional sound to your social media videos or live streaming, helping you get more followers, more views, and higher engagement.

Great Music Is Built On Great Sound:

If you've ever been disappointed with the audio when recording your own music, GO:MIXER PRO delivers an ultra-clean stereo signal without the background noise that can ruin a performance. If you play music with others, you can simultaneously capture three different instruments through dedicated inputs, for example keyboards, guitar/bass and vocals, and adjust their volume levels - perfect for recording demos or rehearsals.

Superior Vocals Give Your Videos a Professional Edge:

If you're a vocalist, GO:MIXER PRO makes it easy to create performance videos while singing along with your favourite songs on the smartphone. The Centre Cancel function reduces the volume of the main vocal in any song you play back- making room for your own vocal to take centre stage. You can even connect a pro-grade electret condenser microphone for studio-quality vocal recordings.

Livestream Your Performance to the World:

Thanks to smartphones and social media, livestreaming has become incredibly popular - and easy to get into. But if your broadcast involves musical instruments, or you simply need high-quality sound, then you quickly run into the limitations of your smartphone's built-in microphone. GO:MIXER PRO has multiple inputs for a well-balanced, great sounding mix, and its battery operation takes the strain from your smartphone, so you can livestream for longer. Depending on conditions, GO:MIXER PRO can run for over four hours on just four AAA batteries.

Live Performance Made Simple Whether At Home, In a Small Venue, Or Outdoors:

GO:MIXER PRO works as a mobile audio mixer for small gigs or parties, thanks to its multiple inputs, battery operation, and compact size. The only other things needed for a go-anywhere party rig are a portable amp and some instruments. Then add some people and start jamming with keyboards, bass/guitar, and vocals - or just sing along with your favourite songs from your smartphone.

Produce Original Music on Your Smartphone or Tablet:

If you compose or produce original songs using a smartphone or tablet, GO:MIXER PRO is an ideal partner. When used with music production apps like Apple Garage Band, you can record your vocal parts while listening to the backing track on your device. If you switch the Loopback function off, only your vocal part will be recorded, with the backing audio on your device acting as your guide track.

Powerful compact synth with onboard pattern sequencer and vocal FX via gooseneck microphone
Notes: Tiny, mighty, and affordable, the JD-Xi puts a true analog synth engine, Roland's famous SuperNATURAL synth sounds, and many other creative tools under one hood. Equipped with 37 mini keys, this compact instrument delivers fat, warm analog bass and lead tones with ample controls for hands-on tweaking, plus polyphonic PCM essentials like pads, strings, brass, and more. Create impressive loops in a flash with the pattern sequencer and built-in drum kits, and explore expressive vocal textures with the gooseneck mic, Vocoder, and AutoPitch. Small in size and large in versatility, the JD-Xi is all about big sounds and big fun!

With its unique crossover sound engine, the JD-Xi provides the best of both worlds: the warm, smooth response of classic analog, and the clarity and versatility of modern digital. The newly developed monophonic analog synth section features saw, triangle, and square waveforms with pulse-width modulation and an analog filter, plus an independent sub oscillator for low-end power. Two digital synth sections offer 128-voice polyphony and a wide range of high-quality SuperNATURAL synth tones, including pads, strings, electric piano, sound effects, and many others.

The JD-Xi comes with a sturdy, high-quality gooseneck mic that brings even more fun to the party. Using the Vocoder, you can sing into the mic and control the tone and pitch via sounds played on the keyboard. With AutoPitch, it's simple to achieve the exaggerated, robotic vocal sounds that are common in today's pop and electronic music styles. There's also a cool Auto Note function that allows you to "sing" JD-Xi synth sounds without touching the keyboard!

Using the intuitive pattern sequencer and large selection of onboard sounds, you're able to create and perform sophisticated music with only the JD-Xi. The sequencer offers four separate tracksitwo digital synth parts, analog synth, and drumsiallowing you to build rich-sounding loops for any genre. Real-time and step recording modes are provided, along with a special TR-REC mode for programming in the style of Roland's classic TR-series beatboxes. It's easy to play patterns and tweak sounds as you perform, and many preset patterns are built in for jamming right out of the box.

Packed with a variety of dynamic drum kits, the JD-Xi delivers quality rhythm tones to suit any groove. Included are many types of electronic and acoustic kits, and the drum instrument assignments are conveniently labeled above the keys for quick identification. You can also personalize the kits for your music by adjusting filter, envelope, pitch, and pan parameters on individual drum sounds.

The JD-Xi includes four simultaneous effects sections for enhancing any sound. Effect 1 and 2 provide selectable processing options such as Bit Crusher, Slicer, and Ring Mod, while dedicated Delay and Reverb sections make it easy to envelop sounds in spacious ambience. Each effects section can be turned on/off separately for the three synth sections and drums, allowing you to shape your mix with many creative combinations.

Need some fresh inspiration, or maybe a sound for a particular style of music? Just visit the Axial sound library site, where you'll find a growing selection of free new sounds and patterns for the JD-Xi. Axial features sounds for many other Roland synths as well, all created by top engineers and leading electronic music artists.

18 channel perfomance mixer with step-sequenced FX, transport and tempo control
Notes: The MX-1 Mix Performer brings together your synths, drum machines, loops, DAW tracks, and more into a single performance-optimized mixing instrument. Combining elements of a mixer, control surface, audio interface, and step-based effector, the MX-1 is designed to be the nerve center of your electronic music rig. It's a mixer you can play - and so much more.

With six analog inputs, four AIRA Link USB ports, digital I/O, send and return jacks, and the ability to stream 18 channels to and from your DAW, the MX-1 brings together a wide range of musical sources and puts them directly under your fingertips. But this is no ordinary mixer. The smooth, solid faders each have six different volume curves available. Every channel has an adjustable Tone/Filter knob with ten types of filters, EQs, and isolators. Mutes are placed for quick access, working with the LED-lit faders to clearly show their status, even in dark environments. The DJ-style headphone cue monitoring lets you smoothly mix in any source whenever you're ready, or drop in tracks right on the beat. Separate headphone and master volume knobs along with smooth and bright metering keep levels firmly in check. And everything, including all the FX configurations and settings, can be saved and recalled for instant access.

There's no question that effects play a huge role in creating a unique vibe and defining your sound. And the MX-1 integrates effects in exciting new ways. Not only do the MX-1's effects sound great, they're designed for ready manipulation and rhythmic sensibility, thanks to the MX-1's tempo awareness and the TR-style step interface. In addition to an aux send for feeding external effects, each channel has its own Beat FX including Filter, Side Chain, and Slicer. These are applied using sixteen TR-style step sequencer buttons like those found on famous Roland drum machines. This lets you independently filter, duck, and slice each channel, creating cool rhythmic variations, polyrhythms, and all manner of intricate grooves. Beat FX can be instantly switched on and off per channel with dedicated, illuminated buttons. Six kinds of Master FX, each with lots of variations, add spice and drama to any or all channels. And the large control knob gives them supreme playability. The Master FX can even be step-sequenced in various combinations, creating stunning movement and glitchy interludes that must be heard to be fully appreciated.

Computers already play a big role in production, and they increasingly play a role in performance. But they don't always integrate so well with other live instruments, and require their own audio interface and controller. The MX-1 addresses these problems through its ability to operate in any one of three different modes. In Control Surface mode, the MX-1 can sync to your computer and act as a high-quality MIDI controller for your DAW. Cool. But it gets way more interesting... In Mixer mode, the MX-1 can mix all connected sources, including analog and digital inputs, AIRA gear, and your computer's output. While there's a dedicated channel for a stereo output from your computer, you can also send computer audio to USB channels 1 thru 4 if no device is connected to the AIRA Link USB ports. Very cool. In External mode, the MX-1 can send all its inputs directly to your DAW, acting as a high-quality audio interface. At the same time, it can mix 18 channels back from your DAW, putting them on the MX-1's faders. This lets you utilize the recording, clip triggering, effects, and mixing functions of your DAW along with the MX-1's cue monitoring, sync, and performance-optimized mixing and effects capabilities. It's mind-bending stuff. Just take a moment to imagine the possibilities. While the MX-1 obviously makes working with a computer way more fun, it's just as happy on its own. So whether it's full hands-on control of your DAW or completely out-of-the-box production and performance, the MX-1 is right at home.

The MX-1 is so much fun to play that you're bound to want to plug all kinds of things into it. Four individual 1/4-inch jacks support just about any kind of instrument, and the stereo 1/8-inch jack is perfect for smartphones, tablets, and various gadgets. There are also four AIRA Link USB ports that make connecting your AIRA gear literally plug and play. With fully automatic detection, AIRA Link USB ports transmit audio, MIDI, and sync over a single USB cable. One of the ports can even provide bus power for a compatible AIRA device like the TB-3 Touch Bassline or VT-3 Voice Transformer. AIRA Link reduces cable clutter and makes setup fast and simple. The MX-1 is also fully time aware and gives you hands-on control of start, stop, tempo, and timing. Sync an array of musical devices over MIDI or AIRA Link. Control everything with the brightly lit TR-style start/stop button and large tempo knob with fine adjustment, shuffle control, and tap function.

2-in/4-out, high-resolution interface for MAC, PC & iPad

They sound clean and transparent with plenty of headroom for capturing all the impact and detail of whatever you're recording. And the flexible combo jacks mean you can easily connect a wide variety of sources without the need for adapters or special cables. Four individual outputs mean you can create more sophisticated routing and monitoring setups. This is useful for sending a click track to a performer, setting up a stage monitor, or routing audio to external gear.

Hardware compressor/limiter:
Highly dynamic sources like vocalists and percussion instruments often need taming, especially when recording on location. Dynamics processors help ensure a good hot signal without clipping and causing unwanted distortion. Rubix24's built-on compressor/limiter provides peace of mind in the heat of a recording session.

Big, clear level indicators:
Studios and stages can be dark places, and getting proper levels is critical. You want to focus on the performance, not on small, hard-to-see clip and level indicators from across the room. Rubix24 has highly visible indicators that are an integral part of its design. They clearly show if a channel has incoming signal, or if you're going to overload, even from a distance.

Built for Mac, PC and iPad:
Rubix24 is ultra-portable and ultra-flexible. It has low latency class compliant drivers for Mac and PC, so it's simple to get up and running with smooth, reliable audio performance. Dynamics processors help ensure a good hot signal without clipping and causing unwanted distortion. Rubix44's built-on compressor/limiter provides peace of mind in the heat of a recording session.

Big, clear level indicators:
Studios and stages can be dark places, and getting proper levels is critical. You want to focus on the performance, not on small, hard-to-see clip and level indicators from across the room. Rubix44 has highly visible indicators that are an integral part of its design. They clearly show if a channel has incoming signal, or if you're going to overload, even from a distance.

Built for Mac, PC and iPad:
Rubix44 is compact and ultra-flexible. It has low latency class compliant drivers for Mac and PC, so it's simple to get up and running with smooth, reliable audio performance. It's got plenty of inputs and outputs for growing studio setups, and it also supports iPad giving you a compact system for on-location recording, on-the-go production, or live performance. It even includes Ableton Live Lite, powerful studio production and live performance software that works perfectly with Rubix44, right out of the box.

Innovative performance sampler based on the Roland SP-404SX
Notes: A Legendary Sampler Meets an Iconic Sequencer:

Designed for live use, the SP-404A Linear Wave Sampler expands the sounds of the Roland AIRA TR-8 Rhythm Performer for a powerful combination of sample and percussive synthesis. The fast, hands-on approach of the acclaimed SP-series performance samplers is a perfect fit for the impressive rhythmic effects and iconic step-sequencer of the Roland AIRA TR-8.

All of the functions and features of the popular SP-404SX are contained in the SP-404A, including its distinctive 16-bit linear sampling, 29 onboard DSP effects, smooth FX switching, and 12 professional performance pads. Plus, a new library of sounds curated by sample-industry leader Loopmasters are provided via the included SD card.

Whether used standalone or controlled by the TR-8, the SP-404A makes for an intuitive and inspiring addition to the AIRA range of performance instruments for DJs, musicians, and producers.

TR Sequencer Meets SP-Style Sampling:

The SP-404A can be triggered from the TR-8 Rhythm Performer for powerful, integrated beat and sample production. Simply connecting a MIDI cable between the two gives you the ability to incorporate samples from the SP-404A and use them in conjunction with your drum patterns. Each of the TR-8's 11 tracks can trigger a sample on the SP-404A, play a TR-8 sound, or both, enabling you to create interesting layers and accents. The TR-8 can trigger any sample from any of the multiple banks in the SP-404A, making it easy to access new sounds with a turn of the dial.

Sample Scatter and Side Chain:

By connecting the stereo output of the SP-404A to the TR-8's external audio input, you can use the TR-8 as a sub-mixer and processor for the sampler. In this configuration, all samples played on the SP-404A can be effected using the powerful TR-8 Scatter feature to reverse, glitch, gate, truncate, stutter, and perform all manner of rhythmic variations from subtle to extreme, and all in perfect sync. The use of the external input also allows samples to be effected by the TR-8's per-step Side Chain function-simply program a pattern with Side Chain in TR-REC Mode and access eight rhythmic ducking and gating effects.

Sounds by Loopmasters:

The SP-404A comes with nine banks of premium samples to get you started with sample looping. The sound library on the included SD card was created by Loopmasters, one of the world's leading sample developers. The samples in the library have been designed specifically to complement the TR-8, but will work great in standalone applications.

Instant Sampling:

Sampling is not limited to the studio with the SP-404A. The built-in microphone allows for simple recording anytime and anywhere inspiration may strike, powered by AC or six AA batteries. Line inputs enable direct sampling from a mixer or external device, and a mic input is also available for sampling with an external microphone. And your sampled material always sounds great, thanks to the SP-404A's high-quality, uncompressed WAV audio-capture format.

Hands-On Performance:

With its interactive loop and pattern sequencer controls, the SP-404A is made to be played. Take command with three non-slip control knobs and 12 rubber trigger pads, plus a Sub Pad for rapid-repeat triggering in real time. On dark stages or DJ booths, the SP-404A is an ideal live machine, as the clearly illuminated pads and bright LED screen ensure clear visibility as soon as you power on.

Extreme Effects:

Your signature sounds can be sculpted at any time via the SP-404A's 29 onboard DSP effects. Essentials include spacious reverbs and choruses plus lush filters and delays, and all provide seamless switching for smooth transitions while performing. There are also striking, performance-based effects on hand, including a voice transformer and a looper. The filter and isolator provide the ability to radically alter your sounds and transform them into all-new elements for reuse.

Combined with a DJ mixer, the SP-404A can be used as a standalone effects processor. A unique "limiter" mode is used in 17 effects types to prevent overloading, ensuring stable sound with no unwanted sonic artefacts. This mode is especially effective for live DJ performances, safeguarding your sounds at critical moments.

Track Builder:

The number of loops that the SP-404A can handle is practically endless, but this feature is only part of its immense power. Songs, jams, and tracks can be built in seconds thanks to the onboard Pattern Sequencer, which is specifically designed for real-time track creation. Optimized for live engagement, it features a powerful Quantize mode which includes shuffle feels for groove, swing, and movement. You can create patterns on the fly via the 99 available measures, and with continuous looping, the ability to layer, structure, and shape a track is available at your fingertips.

Semi-modular synthesiser with PLUG-OUT capability, for use as a Eurorack module, tabletop synth or 19" rackmount unit
Notes: The SYSTEM-1m is a semi-modular synthesizer with PLUG-OUT capability and a unique design that can be used as a Eurorack module, tabletop synth, or 19" rackmount unit. In addition to being a powerful standalone instrument, the SYSTEM-1m has external inputs and an array of CV/Gate connections that allow it to be re-patched and to interface with other modular synthesizer systems. The SYSTEM-1m's CV/Gate connections combined with its ability to load classic Roland PLUG-OUT synth models like the SH-101 and PROMARS give it power and flexibility that is simply unparalleled.

Modular synthesizers are highly prized by musicians for their ability to make totally unique and interesting sounds. But they can demand a real investment of both time and money to create a fully functional instrument. The SYSTEM-1m takes the guesswork out of getting into modular with great sounds and the freedom to experiment right out of the box. The fully self-contained module can be placed in a rack or on a table and can be powered by standard AC power. And it can be played from any standard MIDI keyboard or receive MIDI messages from your DAW - just like you'd expect.

But the SYSTEM-1m goes way beyond standard synthesizer modules. WIth fully-lit, color coded patch points, you can experiment with reconfiguring its architecture and easily connect to a wide world of available synthesizer modules. In addition to functioning as a rackmount or tabletop unit, the SYSTEM-1m can be mounted in a standard Eurorack case and can be powered via integrated case power with the included adapter cable. Its versatile synth architecture integrates beautifully with existing modular setups - or it can be the heart of a burgeoning modular synthesizer rig.

The SYSTEM-1m is a stunningly powerful instrument based on our more than 40 years of experience in designing synthesizers. It's capable of an astonishing range of synth tones, from glistening arps to thunderous basses. But we're also known for our lineage of iconic vintage instruments, sought after by musicians the world over. These include a long list of classic synths renowned for their identifiable character and genre-defining tone. And this is why we developed PLUG-OUT technology.

PLUG-OUT synthesizers use our Analog Circuit Behavior technology to perfectly replicate some of our most revered classics. They work like regular VST or AU compatible plugins in a DAW, with the SYSTEM-1m's array of high-resolution knobs and sliders creating an elegant, one-to-one control surface that works seamlessly. But you can also load PLUG-OUT synths directly into the SYSTEM-1m and switch between the internal synthesizer architecture and one of a growing number of PLUG-OUT Roland classics, like the SH-101, SH-2 and PROMARS - with no computer required.

While it provides a huge amount of synthesis power on its own, interconnecting the SYSTEM-1m with other modular gear creates a vast range of sonic possibilities. Its impressive oscillator section, sweet filters and snappy envelopes are sure to be welcome in any modular setup, no matter how big or small. But it's the SYSTEM-1m's combination of CV/Gate modularity, PLUG-OUT, and DAW integration that takes things into completely uncharted territory.

For example, load the SH-101 PLUG-OUT into the SYSTEM-1m and you essentially have a hardware SH-101 with modular capabilities - something that has never existed before. You can process external sources through the SH-101's acclaimed filters, or load the SH-2 PLUG-OUT and use its formidable oscillator section to drive any number of available Eurorack filters and envelopes. The potential is staggering.

Designed in Eurorack format, the SYSTEM-500 delivers the classic character and functionality of vintage Roland modular synths, with all the advantages of a modern instrument. The SYSTEM-500 is made to exacting standards in a collaborative design and production process between Malekko in Portland, USA and Roland in Hamamatsu, Japan.

Classic System. New Format:

The SYSTEM-500 consists of Eurorack format modules that you can mix and match in any combination to create the ultimate Roland modular synthesiser. Each module is completely analogue and has been designed for maximum compatibility with the world of contemporary synthesiser and effects modules. The SYSTEM-500 is a compact, powerful system that opens vast possibilities for sound design and musical exploration.

SYSTEM-500 505 VCF:

Inject the sound of the Roland SH-5's revered filter section into your modular rig. The Roland SH-5 is one of the most sought after monosynths in history. Its dual architecture was deep and sounded massive. It also happened to have one of the most distinguished filters of any monosynth in history. Combining a multi-mode filter with a band-pass filter, it produced a sound that has propelled it to "favourite filter ever" territory for many. In stark contrast to the traditional Ladder filter design, the SH-5's filter maintained its bass response with a meaty resonance growl. With the SYS-505, Roland and Malekko have brought this highly-coveted filter, in all its sonic glory, to the Eurorack format. With switchable outputs, built-in VCAs, and CV control of cut-off, resonance, this dual filter gives you two different vintage filter characters in a flexible and compact 16hp module.
