Review: MCMLXV welcomes back Analog~1 for a third outing here. It is an alias of JS Zeiter and one that is reserved more for esoteric and electronica tracks following notable outings on labels such as Furthur Electronix, Meandyou and We're Going Deep. 'Mirage' kicks off with melancholic pads and dubby chords over crisp minimal drums that sink you into a reverie. That vibe continues through 'Virtual' and 'Haunted' which care both sophisticated atmospheres with subtle electro-tinged rhythms and quietly emotive pads. 'Solano' closes down with another icy and cavernous space that is filled with meaningful synth craft to make for another classy EP.

Review: MCMLXV might be on your radar for its quality output in the realms of dub techno. This time out though it veers more towards club tackle and is less heavy on the dub via the work of label head JS Zeiter. 'Outline' stars in a deep, pensive groove with glistening hi-hats cutting up the smooth bass. 'Taken' is another mid-tempo plodder that comes alive with nice heady synth curlicues that add some scale. 'Navigate' keeps these serene vibes flowing with more deft and wispy pads colouring the rooted beats and 'Resistance' shuts down with more swaggering bass.

Review: Fair play to JS Zeiter, few other anonymous techno acts have been doing it as long as this guy whose productions date back almost two decades across numerous aliases and projects. The latest JS Zeiter productions arrive through his own MCMLXV label, and should prove as popular with the heads down dub techno crowd as previous transmissions. Lead track "Pulse" is akin to a nine minute saunter down a dark tunnel, with unexpected twists as it progresses and the intensity grows and grows. "Submerge" adopts a lighter tone, presenting a deeper side to the JS Zeiter production palette but it will be an equally effective production when deployed at the right time.
