In an impressive display of non laurel resting, Barcelona's fledgling deep house and disco imprint aPersonal follow up their sterling Mark E and Social Disco Club-featuring debut missive from Trujillo with this equally impressive twelve inch. Introducing us to the collective talents of Portuguese duo Cisco Cisco, it's fair to say most ears will warm to "If You Want Me" swiftly. Conjuring up kaleidoscopic sensations and feelings of ethereal bliss, once the track finds its groove as the beat kicks in it remains a delight till the end. Cavernous vocal phasing and off kilter orchestral flourishes remain throughout to give the track an appealingly oddball sound. The accompanying remix from Jay Shepheard tightens up the beat, and seemingly stays close to the musical path laid out by Cisco Cisco. Just as your brain is asking your ears what's exactly different, a massive low end bass hum arrives and encompasses all before it, with only snatches of the vocal samples escaping. On the flip, "Giro Disco" will delight fans of stuttering cowbell chugs, and comes replete with nifty vocal cuts and sly sampling of The Walrus.
