Emptiness Is Form CD

Last year, Ludvig Cembrelius returned to the Archive label with a fine album of flotation tank ambience and hazy dub techno, Form Is Emptiness. A year on, he's roped in a bunch of like-minded souls to help him re-model the album. Predictably, it is every bit as languid, ear pleasing and life affirming as you'd expect. Check, for example, the softly spun dub techno rhythms and sun-soaked melodies of "Willow (Graft II)", the almost breathlessly blissful rework of "Vissana" by Logic Moon, or Powlos's fuzzy, slowly unfurling drone interpretation of "Form Is Emptiness". All three reworks perfectly encapsulate the album's subtle drift, stunning beauty and impeccable judgment of tone.
