A year after making its debut, Dig Find Sample Chop Repeat serves up its third 45rpm. each one is a deep dive into funk from across the ages and each one has come from the Alex Santos Orchestra. The Los Angeles outfit has previously paid tribute to classic jazz-funk imprint Red Clay Records and now tips its collective hat to Rene Costa. This two-tracker has the superb, horn-led 'Scrabble' on the a-side. It's also got plenty of sunny flutes and nice loose drum breaks to get you going on a hot afternoon. 'Ostonato Bass' does what it says on the tin on the flipside.
