Key Features

1) 12/24kHz Early-Digital Sound Sampling

Experience true 12kHz/24kHz sampling combined with the 12-bit Sampler mode, which transforms any sound into a pleasant Early-Digital sound, much like the legendary 12-bit samplers of yesteryear.

Each sample can be up to 40 seconds in length, and you can store as many samples as your SD card capacity allows. From these, you can load up to 256 samples (64MB) into a single project, seamlessly switching between samples during playback.

Samples can also be played using PAD mode, utilizing all 15 pads as a keyboard for chromatic/scale play. You can also chop samples to create and play individual slices within a single track.

2) Intuitive & Non-stop Beat Making

The powerful 8-track sequencer supports un-quantized recording and non-stop editing, allowing you to create tracks and beats in real-time as you hit the pads.

With parameter locking, dynamic parameter recording is a breeze - simply press the REC button and tweak the knobs. You can also input exact values directly using the step buttons.

Using the D-pad Roll, you can choose between 7 re-trigger divisions from 8th to 64th notes, while controlling velocity by a pad pressure.

A single project consists of 128 patterns and 16 songs. It can be used not only for song production, but also for long live performances by connecting songs with non-stop editing and various MUTE modes.?

3) Powerful Signal Processing & Extensive Sample Libraries

Simultaneously utilize 8 track effects, delay, reverb, and master compressor to craft diverse sounds.

Track effects can be selected from 22 effect types, and the master compressor can be side-chained. (Can be switched to the master filter for performance.)

The included SD card contains 2,500+ samples from legendary drum machines like TR-808/909, LM-1, linndrum, DMX, Drumulator, SP-12, Drumtraks and TOM*, to ready-to-use the Early-Digital Sound samples.

4) Effortless Background Mix-Tape Recording

The Mix-Tape recording feature continuously captures all your performances in the background up to three hours.

Recording quality can be selected from six levels, from the lo-fi recording quality of a micro-cassette tape to high quality recording at 48 kHz-16 bit, the same recording quality as DAT.

Whether you're mixing down tracks, recording live performances in their entirety, or extracting choice beats and phrases from your daily jams, you will have a continually expanding resource of your sounds and music at your fingertips.

5) Versatile Connectivity with Other Devices

Import and export audio files via USB or SD card. The Lofi-12XT's unique file convert feature ensures typical audio files with differing sampling bit/rates are transformed into the signature Lofi-12 Sounds.

Easy Sampling

You can easily sample any sounds with the built-in microphone, your microphone or electric guitar connected to the input, or even a USB-connected smartphone or PC/Mac.

You can even sample applying an insert effect. For example, your electric guitar can be added to Distortion or your vocal to Compressor.

Sampled sounds can be quickly assigned to pads with auto-slicing, and can also be edited manually in detail by viewing the waveform display.

Sampled sounds can also be easily matched to the tempo and key of your song.

You can also resample a sequenced phrase of sampled sounds including applied effects.

Flexible Song-making

Each song project has 16 sequential parts called "Scenes". Each Scene has 10 sequencer tracks which can behave in different ways, as described below:

- Loop Track: Sequencer for a looping sample
- Shots Track: Sequencer for a single one-shot sample
- Drum Track: Step sequencer for drums
- Instrument Track: Piano roll type sequencer for musical instruments
- MIDI Track: Piano roll type sequencer for external MIDI equipment

Three additional Global Audio Tracks are available for longer recordings like vocals and external instruments. These tracks can record multiple takes which can be spliced into a final perfect version. Traditional "punch-in" style recording is also supported.

Easily structure a full song by sequencing scenes and setting how many times they repeat before moving to the next scene. You can set the order of scenes via a copy function.

A song can be mixed down through a mastering effect, and be exported to a single audio file or individual audio files (stem files) for each track.

Effortless Music Streaming

You can stream your music in perfect quality with a single USB cable, without any driver installation or troublesome menu settings.

You can livestream your voice and performance in real time while playing along with your song. And they can be controlled with crossfading and mixing with effects.

Massive Sample Libraries

More than 500 high-quality sample sounds are available (for download), so you can start creating a songs right away, even if it's your first time.

Samples you record are stored to the SD card. In Crad Reader mode you can download your recordings, or import new samples from your PC/Mac.

36 types of internal DSP effects can be used as the insert, send, and master effects.

Versatile Connectivity

The SmplTrek can connect to a wide range of audio sources such as, dynamic microphones, electric guitars/bass, synthesizers, and even USB audio sources from PC/MACs or smartphones.

The SmplTrek can output audio via two analog outputs, or digitally via USB for live streaming and direct DAW recording.

It can also synchronize its tempo with other devices using MIDI or audio sync.
