In house beat team 7L & Jeremy Page do a fine job of serving up everything from haunting Italo to pop leaning ditty via dig-dub, classic hip hop and late night groovers. The action packed lyrical delivery has you locked in for the duration and tackles an ambitious range of subjects with equal skill. High octane battles and story telling skills; this might just be this heroic outfit's finest work to date.

Review: Art-rap circles quake in their super-boots at the seismic reemergence of Frankie Pulitzer - the alter ego of Black Hawk Down actor Tom Hardy no less - whose newest record with longer-time heavyweight Method Man is a madcap, supervillainous new one. As ever for the Czarface universe denizens, the record unfolds over a sketchy pulp narrative, blurring Bizarro mythopoeses and underground rap grit: Esoteric and Inspectah Deck trade verses with a sharp, almost conspiratorial energy - "Everything I thought I knew is null and void and destroyed / Day is night, left's right, heavy's light" - while 7L's production as always flip-flops between an antiheroic sinister-surreal.

Review: One of the most exciting releases, just in time for Christmas, former Wu-Tang Clan rapper Inspectah Deck and legendary tag team Esoteric and 7L are Czarface, the hip-hop supergroup keeping that old alt-rap flame alive a la MF DOOM, who shared in the group's adoration of superhero comic books (even doing a collaboration album with them, his first posthumous release since his untimely passing). Czarface are in their own lane though, make no mistake. The lead single 'You Know My Style' is an amazing clash of Deck, The Czar-keys and NYC rapper NEMS, Esoteric rattling off comic book and NBA references against a beat that can only be described as devious.
