Review: London's Soul II Soul link up with Chicago house luminary Ron Trent for a reverent deep house refix of their 1990 classic 'A Dream's A Dream'. Trent smooths the edges and stretches the groove, dialling up the warmth without losing the track's inner glow. The A-side version floats Jazzie B's original spirit over supple percussion and rich chordwork, marrying UK sound system lineage with spiritual club depth. On the flip, the Dub leans inwards-slower, smokier, with more space between the notes. Both cuts carry that signature Trent polish: organic yet controlled, always in motion. A respectful bridge between two dance cultures, decades apart but rhythmically aligned.
