Notes: 'Akemie's Castle' is a dual voltage controlled oscillator with authentic 4 Operator digital FM using 'new-old-stock' Yamaha IC's for audio signal generation.

Each of the 4 operators feature independent waveform selection, frequency multiplier and level control via direct panel operation and voltage control. Operators can be combined in various ways across both oscillators, which together with independent feedback control on each VCO, offer an extremely wide palette of sounds.

Oscillator A also features a chord mode providing a range of up to 5 voice chords and voltage controlled inversion.

Notes: Gritty drum voice module based on new old stock Yamaha FM synthesis chips, also capable of a decent range of synth tones. User-friendly knobby interface with a decent range of CV inputs for modulation.

'Akemie's Taiko' is an authentic complete FM synthesis based drum voice created using original Yamaha IC's. It builds on the same technology used in the mighty Akemie's Castle but in a more complete triggered voice form featuring both signal generation and envelope shaping.

The module provides CV and direct control over a number of FM parameters including algorithm selection, operator release envelopes, ratios, waveforms & feedback. This gives a massive range of unique sounds.

The voice is able to track 1 volt per octave allowing it to be used for melodic lines as well as percussion. Also optional 'frequency ramps' can be enabled for additional audio effects.

The drum voice includes a trigger input as well as accent and choke trigger inputs to add further expressive and rhythmic control.

Notes: Expander module adds four more assignable CV inputs to Squid Salmple for advanced modulation and sample manipulation. A must for all Squid Salmple owners.

AXON-1 is a 4HP expander module for the SQUID SALMPLE that provides 4 additional freely assignable CV inputs.

The addition of AXON-1 brings Squid's total number of CV inputs to 7, greatly increasing the possibilities for vast modular sample manipulation.

Each modulation assignment includes digital attenuation and offset and behaves just like Squid's 3 built in CV inputs.

AXON-1 requires firmware 166 or later installed on the Squid Salmple to function!

Notes: AXON-2 is an 8HP expander module for the SQUID SALMPLE, MFX and Pamela's PRO Workout that like the AXON-1 provides 4 additional freely assignable CV inputs but additionally adds manual offset controls and 2 additional 'performance' buttons.

The addition of AXON-2 increases the Squid, MFX or Pam PRO's total number of CV inputs by 4, greatly increasing the possibilities for vast modular manipulation. Each of the CV inputs includes an offset for hands on control over parameters assigned to CV. Per assignment digital attenuation and offset via the host module is also available for fine tuning the modulation or control over parameters.

The AXON-2's large buttons are great for controlling select functions in a live performance environment or adding convenient quick navigation shortcuts when making edits. The buttons functionality and assignability are dependent on the host module. See respective manuals for details.

NOTE: AXON-2 support requires the latest firmware be installed for Pam Pro (120 or newer), Squid (187 or newer) and MFX (105 or newer).

Notes: Another banger from ALM. Based on the oscillators from the classic 1980s Casio CZ series, the Cizzle uses phase distortion synthesis for characterful, FM-adjacent synth tones.

The 'CIZZLE' is a dual digital 'phase distortion' VCO inspired by the classic Casio 'CZ' series synthesizers. It brings the specifics of 'CZ' style phase distortion (PD) synthesis into Eurorack with the inclusion of primary and secondary oscillator layering and detuning (with up to 8 voice chord generation), extended morphable PD wave generation algorithms, unique resonance wave generation, plus specific 'end of chain' ring modulation and noise modes that are key to the CZ sound.

The voices also feature built in VCAs and various modulation controls and inputs, a cv-able chord mode, tracking ability, triggered mode switching and can be output independently or mixed with stereo widening.

Notes: The Jumble Henge is a 16 input stereo spectral mixer with a unique patch-based mixing interface in a compact space. Each input has a carefully tuned resonant analog filter and a unique fixed pan value, providing each sound its own space within the mix. There is a Mix control to adjust the depth of the filtering and a clean external stereo input for chaining with another mixer or extra sound source. Jumble Henge is a space efficient solution for creating rich stereo mixes from a number of both mono and stereo sources.

INPUTS
Vertical and horizontal patch position determines a source's spectral and stereo placement in the mix respectively.

Aside from centred inputs, every input sits in its own unique pan position, helping to keep a separation between sounds but building a complete stereo image when combined.

The centre right inputs of the top two rows are normalised to the centre left inputs. - i.e if just a left input is patched it will be effectively panned center.

Towards the highs the panning becomes wider - as the human ear better pinpoints direction at higher frequencies, whereas the lows remain more centred for a tighter, more focused sound.

MIX CONTROL
Mix control for the overall depth of the filters applied to the inputs. Note: a slight volume increase occurs near the centre of the dial.

EXTERNAL INPUT
An additional clean stereo input pair for chaining with another mixer or additional source. Right input normalised to left input to accomodate mono sources.

OUTPUTS
Stereo mix output, the sum of all 16 inputs.

Notes: The MCFx2 is ALM's state variable 'MCF' filter made double. It features 2 identical classic analog 3 pole state variable filter cores each with Low, High and Band Pass (or Notch) outputs. Direct and voltage control is provided for both filter cut offs and resonance. Switches allow the filters to function as one, with the 'Feed' switch internally routing audio from one filter to the other in series and the 'Link' switch linking the cut off controls for both filter cores. MCFx2 expands on the great sounding MCF filter to offer both serial and parallel functionality for stereo operation, dual peak, tighter slopes and other complex filtering set ups.

FREQUENCY CONTROLS
Sets the base frequency for the filter cut offs. The v/oct and frequency inputs are added to these.

RESONANCE CONTROL
Sets the level of resonant peaks atop the cut off frequencies. The resonance can get particularly aggressive going into self oscillation with the control past 12 o'clock.

OUTPUTS
Each filter output is 3 pole with an 18dB/oct slope.
Low - low pass filter outputs. Passes frequencies below the cut off.
High - high pass filter outputs. Passes frequencies above the cut off.
BP/Notch - band pass or notch filter outputs. Jumpers on the rear of the module select one or the other for each filter.
Passes frequencies within (BP) or outside (Notch) a narrow region around cut off frequency.

LINK BUTTON
Links the left cut off to parallel control both filters. The right controls will now set the max range of the right core. Both filters will track together when the right cut off is fully clockwise.

FEED BUTTON
Routes the output of the left filter core to the input of the right (unless patched), with the desired output filter type selected via jumper at the rear of the module.

FREQ INPUTS AND ATTENUATORS
Control voltage inputs here are combined with knob offsets to set the final cut off. Attenuversion control allows for both attenuation and inversion of the CV. Expects approx. -5V - 5V input.

RES INPUTS AND ATTENUATORS
Attenuated control voltage inputs here are combined with knob offsets to set the final resonance.
Expects approx. -5V - 5V input.

AUDIO INPUT 'In'
Signal inputs to the filter cores for processing.
Input sources may need to be attenuated, filter will drive from hotter input levels.
The Left input is normalised to the right (unless 'Feed' is enabled).

Notes: The MCO MK II is a highly versatile digital VCO and voice module inspired by 90s/00s digital synths shrunk into just 6HP.

It offers a broad collection of unique, high-quality synth voices, each with extensive, customizable parameters. These parameters can be directly controlled or modulated through assignable internal and external sources. Certain per-voice parameters support audio-rate modulation, including FM, sync, and DSP. Each voice also supports up to four-voice chords, external-triggered envelopes, multiple LFOs, and dual audio outputs for comprehensive desktop like synth functionality.

Voices include a multi dimensional wavetable oscillator based on the original MCO, a complex additive synthesis engine, a multi mode 'JP' type digi-synth, a lush virtual analog implementation, a fully featured vocoder, a bass synth for both kicks and sub sonic tones and finally arebirth and porting of our discontinued SID GUTs chip voice.

A USB-C connection allows for easy firmware updates, user wavetables upload and device config backup and restore. Axon expander modules are also supported to increase CV control options.

Notes: The 'MEGA-TANG' is a 4-channel linear VCA and stereo mixer providing per input control over level, effect send, pan and muting. Designed for live use in mind with a simple & compact layout, the 'MEGA-TANG' builds on the clean and transparent sounding Tangle Quartet VCA by adding a stereo mix output, effect sends (mono send with a stereo return) which pair great with the MFX, manual panning, soft mute buttons with LED indicators and an expansion port for future expandability.

Individual VCA outputs are available which remove the channel from the main mix (useful for cueing and monitoring). All signals are Euro level and bar the effects return, DC coupled for CV use as well as audio.

Notes: Think of the MFD like a tiny DJ mixer: two stereo inputs, one stereo output, with the option to cue either input and crossfade between the two. A simple idea very well executed.

Notes: The mmMidi is a simple & compact MIDI interface for your Eurorack synthesiser. It translates two independent channels of MIDI note, velocity and gate information to corresponding control voltage signals via either a classic MIDI DIN type connection or as a driverless USB MIDI device.

The mmMidi also converts MIDI Clock to analogue x24 fixed clock and run outputs (i.e DIN Sync). The optional mmT expander provides a third MIDI channel of 8 key mapped gate outputs.

Notes: 'MUM M8' is an 8hp Eurorack low pass filter building on the filter design used in the classic Akai S950 12 bit sampler with the addition of resonance, voltage control, clipped saturation and a dedicated VCA.

The low pass filter gives the recognisable super smooth vacuum like tone sucking sound which works magic on complex sources. The addition of clipped overdrive and intentionally aggressive self-oscillating resonance compliment the smooth filter core by juxtaposing it into more wasp like territory with acidic squeals and a more gritty sound.
Mum M8 features dual voltage control with attenuation (and inversion) of filter cut off and voltage control of resonance together with dual audio inputs - one of which includes a VCA to with the capability to aid overdriving signals into the filter core.

The filter core is a 6th Order Butterworth switched capacitor type design featuring an analog core but controlled by a high speed digital clock. This produces the characteristic smooth sounding filter but, as with the original S950, has a relatively high minimum cut off as to avoid 'clock bleed' into the filter output from the digital control. This minimum cut of point (and introduction of bleed if required) can be controlled via trimmers on the rear of the module (see calibration chapter). It is not unusual for there still to be some low-level artefacts from the clock present, particularly during filter sweeps - these add to the filters character.

The motivation for the module came from discussing filters in classic samplers with the artist Jack Adams - aka Mumdance. Jack suggested investigating the S950's filter well known as for it use in classic use in early jungle and hardcore. From that point onward Jack provided inspiration, help and feedback in the development of the filter. Big up Mumdance.

Notes: 'O/A/x2' is a dual channel attenuverter with each channel also including a bipolar voltage offset and LED monitoring. The module is primarily intended for fine grain flexible 'editing' of control signals (i.e changing the phase, level and DC offset of an LFO signal) but also has uses with audio signals such as attenuation, inversion and mixing.

Notes: 'Pamela's PRO Workout' is a compact programmable clocked modulation source for your Eurorack modular system. It provides 8 highly editable outputs producing various control voltage signals correlated and synced to a BPM based master clock.

Each output can provide everything from simple clocked triggers, complex rhythmic waveforms, quantised melodic patterns to random chaos with direct and assignable CV control over numerous parameters. These features together with a quick and easy to use interface provide almost limitless synced modulation possibilities in a tiny space.

Building on the original 'Pamela's Workout' & 'Pamela's NEW Workout' the evolved 'PRO' Pam maintains the precursor's form factor and intuitive workflow but improves and adds many new features with upgraded hardware, more CV inputs, a new full colour hi res display and rewritten software adding many new enhancements like micro grid timings and cross output modulations.

Notes: The ‘Pip Slope’ (rev II) is a compact envelope and function generator. It supports both Attack/Decay and Attack/Sustain/Decay type envelopes with both direct and voltage control of Attack and Decay times. Envelope shapes can be morphed between exponential, linear and logarithmic type slopes. Envelopes can be made to loop, repeating infinitely or decreasing with time or amplitude for echo and bouncing ball type effects. An ‘End of Cycle’ trigger output further extends the envelopes functionality for both clocking and burst or fill type effects.

The improved Pip Slope adds a number of new features and updates over the original Pip whilst keeping the same size. Improvements include increased output resolution, finer control of fast envelopes, a new morphing shape control, switchable 5v or 8v maximum envelope level, additional loop modes and an additional trigger output.

ALM034-EX

PPEXP1 & PPEXP2 are two expander modules for Pamela's PRO Workout that both offer additional dedicated fixed clock, Din Sync & MIDI clock outputs.

Extend Pam as a master to clock external gear with super solid dedicated MIDI & Din Sync clock outputs. The Din Sync clock (x24) and Run outputs can also be patched into a 2nd Pam to easily sync it.

Use the extra fixed clocked gate outputs to free up Pam's main outputs for unique sequencing or complex modulation duties.

Connects directly to and is powered by the 'MIDI-EX' expander header on rear of Pamela's PRO Workout.

Only a single output expander is supported at any time but either can be used alongside an AXON-1 CV input expander.

A MIDI adapter cable and a Din Sync adapter cable are both available for connecting to 5 pin 'Din' type connectors. The PPEXP 1 includes a MIDI Din adapter cable.

Notes: The 'Quaid Megaslope' is a five stage function generator or modulator which operates in one of 3 modes; a multistage 'CZ' or 'Juno' style complex envelope, a super flexible LFO and a step sequencer with per step programmable slew or slides.

Each mode produces a varying output voltage moving from point to point across a set number of chained together stages. Each stage features a destination level, an overall rate or time to reach its destination level and a variable slope for the output path to take. As well as direct control, every stage feature voltage control of both level and rate. There are both unipolar and bipolar voltage outputs together with triggers emitted for the end of each stage and the end of a full cycle.

The Quaid Megaslope is designed to be fun, flexible and intuitive to use.

Notes: The 'S.B.G' is a compact utility module intended for the interfacing of guitar effect pedals with your eurorack modular system.

It provides both attenuation and amplification of audio signals for level matching together with a crossfade control to conveniently adjust the wet/dry mix of a processed signal. The module also offers regulation of outgoing CV signals for safer use of pedal expression inputs.

The 'Squid Salmpler' is a Eurorack 8 channel audio & CV sampler. It is designed for immediate real time sampling, editing and mangling within a modular context.

Taking influence from early hardware samplers, The Squid Salmple focuses on usability and instinctive operation, incorporating a proven Pamela's Workout style user interface for minimal screen dependence and a fun, hands on experience.

With support for sampling and playback for both audio and CV, as well as CV control of all parameters, on-the-fly bank loading and saving to USB, The Squid Salmple brings a unique take on old school sampling into the modular realm.

The Squid Salmple comes with a USB Stick containing approximately 90 banks of original carefully curated royalty free samples. This includes a wide range of sounds from classic drum machines and weird synths to field recordings and CV modulations. Banks are provided by both ALM and some of our favourite artists and friends including Mumdance, Solid Blake, Russell Haswell, Lauren Flax, Dave Burraston (NYZ), Sue Zuki, Dungeon Acid, Sasha Lewis and Andrew Duff.

Notes: The 'Stereo Sum' is a unity gain summing mixer that features four stereo input pairs summed as pairs to two independent mix outs or all as a single combined mix. It is a useful utility for efficiently combining outputs of multiple stereo sources, such as the MEGA-TANG and Jumble Henge mixers or multiple MFX returns. The inputs accept stereo or mono signals (via normalisation) which can be audio or CV (module is DC coupled) and the top mixer's outputs are normalised to the bottom mixer section meaning if the upper output is left unpatched the two upper inputs will be added to the lower output.

The 'TAZM-O' is an analogue triangle core oscillator featuring through-zero frequency modulation and a collection of some of ALM's favourite features of classic oscillator designs.

It includes a continuous morphing wave/pulse width shape control inspired by the Serge NTO, dual SH-101 style varied pulse sub octave outputs, a voltage controlled FM Index typically found in larger complex oscillators, a built in output level VCA and voltage controlled octave transposition similar to the multipliers found on Akemie's Castle digital FM VCO.

Notes: The successor to Dinky's Taiko, Tyso Daiko is a 12-bit dual digital drum voice, with built-in analogue tilt EQ and wavefolder, plus extensive CV control. Intuitive, powerful and versatile.

The 'Tyso Daiko' is a dual 12-bit digital wavetable drum voice with full voltage control and an analogue EQ output path.

The twin voices are independently triggered and output, but share pitch, envelope and other parameters of a swept wavetable oscillator. One voice is output through a voltage controlled analogue tilt EQ emphasising upper or lower frequencies.

The other voice is output through a digital wavefolder which adds increasing timbral complexity (to noise).

Both voices respond independently to an accent input and the first voice is able to be 'choked' . A surface control allows for fine control of additional transients from a click to a slow attack. Full voltage control including a V/Oct pitch input makes the Daiko an expressive and wide ranging drum module with extremely wide pallet of sounds with lots of modulation possibilities.

The Daiko succeeds the original Dinky with the same spirit but much improved control, new features and new wavetables.
