The Weimar collective will release a new compilation plus Kettenkarussell remixes and a 12″ of Olin reworks from Huerco S.
The Kettenkarussell member lands a solo debut on the German label.
Edward’s output always takes a while to process, his tracks never quite fully revealing themselves on first listen. Unpacking the different layers reveals hypnotic minimal house and techno jams that float along peacefully, the build up being ever so gradual. There’s both a light and an odd quality to his sound, presenting unexpected instruments and rhythms in a way that works really well. It’s music that’s made to dance to languidly in the blistering burn of the sun rather than processed in the dark confines of the club.

Vril and Giegling co-founder Konstantin will play London for the first time and we have three tickets to give away.
The artist also known as Prince Of Denmark will return to the main Giegling operation later this month.
To understand Kettenkarussell is to understand Giegling. Herr Koreander (aka Konstantin) and Leafar Legov’s collaboration were responsible for the label’s first release, I Believe You And Me Make Love Forever. Since that record, Giegling has grown exponentially, but Kettenkarussell, with its childlike demeanour, will always remain the root from which everything grows.
The Weimar-based label will release Easy Listening by the Kettenkarussell duo next month.
Giegling techno component Vril is the latest to issue a debut album with the minimum of fanfare – with Torus released this week on the Weimar label’s own Forum offshoot.
The last two bodies of work from the one producer met with as much fervour as this year’s Prince Of Denmark and Traumprinz albums was probably Andy Stott’s iconic Passed Me By and We Stayed Together double pack for Modern Love. And while Traumprinz Of Denmark’s two LPs didn’t signal a change in musical direction like it did Stott in 2011, it well and truly put the reclusive German on the map.
The Giegling associate will resurface with an EP for the Delsin label next month.
The third album length project from the Weimar based Giegling label will see Prince of Denmark turn to his alias Traumprinz on the forthcoming LP Mothercave.

Young Turks, Public Information, Créme Organization and Antinote feature amongst a baker’s dozen of record sleeves from May.
Since 2009 Weimar-based label Giegling has constructed a micro-assembly of orchestral kinetics and thunderhead techno that’s forging new pathways through a forgotten wasteland of minimal decay and lost dub. James Manning tracked down label co-founder Konstantin to discuss Giegling’s distinctly rustic charms – we also procured a mix from Konstantin that adds some flavour to what the label are doing.
The third album for Weimar-based label Giegling will come from the collective’s homespun artist Dwig.
