The Hague-based label are giving away their debut cassette release for digital download.
It was January this year when we reported that Wichelroede, Fallon Does and Gerben De Louw’s platform based out of The Hague, was to release a Ben UFO and Beatrice Dillon tape. With Wichelroede’s second mixtape release split between Freakout Cult’s Jayda G and LNS literally landing our our desk this week, the label have graciously decided to unleash Beatrice Dillon and Ben UFO mixes for free consumption in digital form. The opening passages of Beatrice Dillon’s side have both soothed our working environment and punctuated the sometimes deathly working silence that sweeps across our editorial space on a weekly basis, with “Gong Bath” from Mood Hutter Slow Riffs one of the most tranquil introductions to 45-minutes of music you could hope for.
Meanwhile Ben UFO’s side delves deeper into beaty territory, spanning oddball house and typially lo-fi techno oddities which proved quality enough for Wichelroede to release a second run of spools in April following its original February release. Many times over this year, both mixes have provided our office with fresh waves of catharsis and you can stream or download both Ben UFO and Beatrice Dillon’s Wichelroede mixes below.
