D’Marc Cantu, Mark Du Mosch and Paul Du Lac line up for the acid-loving Utrecht label.
Emerging first as a series of split releases on the long-running Marguerita Recordings overseen by Cosmic Force, 030303 became a label in its own right in 2010 and has become a standard bearer for music informed by the Roland machine that inspired their name. As the 030303 bio helpfully states, the Utrecht collective release music that is “subtle to bombastic and highly psychedelic, the common denominator always being a very deep bleep.” In the six years they’ve been putting out records, the label’s irregular compilations have stood out in particular with contributions from JTC, Drvg Cvltre, Marco Bernardi and Forma whilst the 030303 art direction is also very distinctive.
After starting the year with the third of those aforementioned label compilations, 030303 are to return with a split 12″ that pulls together material from the collective talents of Ann Arbor’s D’Marc Cantu, and Rotterdam natives Mark Du Mosch and Paul Du Lac. Brought together under the bannner D Du Du, the three-track 12″ sees the trio canvas a range of box-banging styles with Bio Rhythm boss Paul Du Lac in particularly psychedelic form with his closer “Beta Rhythm”. Stream a preview of all three tracks below.
030303 will release D Du Du by D’Marc Cantu, Mark Du Mosch and Paul Du Lac on August 22.
