Token welcomes back Eschaton
The Ancient Methods and Orphx collaboration returns to Token in addition to Inigo Kennedy and Ctrls 12″s.
Belgian techno stronghold Token has done a mighty amount of work since Ancient Methods (pictured above) and Orphx’s ballistic Eschaton collaboration surfaced in 2014. With label regulars Ø [Phase], Inigo Kennedy and Ctrls dropping albums and EPs alike, Token has opened its doors to a new cast of respected techno producers in Antigone and Spanish legend Tadeo, to old and new school UK producers Sigha and Makaton following the comprehensive Aphelion compilation featuring its own cast of heavyweight techno artists.
The Eschaton project will now return with a second offering simply titled Eschaton II that’s said to deliver “a more varied, yet ever menacing turn,” of industrial techno only Ancient Methods, Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey (aka Orphx) could concoct. Eschaton II comes two years after the project’s self-titled debut and the collaboration’s four-track follow up will arrive between new Ctrls and Inigo Kennedy 12″s, with A2 cut “Those Who Obey” colourfully described as an “archaic battle anthem”.
Token will release Eschaton II by Eschaton on May 6.
