Tzusing set for return to L.I.E.S.
Stream the frankly hellish “Frankincense and Myrhh” from the producer’s upcoming 12″.
Shanghai-based Malaysian producer Tsuzing first appeared on the Juno Plus radar with a rampaging contribution to Clan Destine Traxx’s third Dark Acid record in 2013. He resurfaced last year on L.I.E.S. with a fine induction into the label’s mix series, and A Name Out of Place Pt.1, a 12″ that successfully updated the throbbing EBM style for modern ears. Given the name of that record, it’s little surprise to learn it was the first in a series of L.I.E.S. releases from Tsuzing, with a second part due next month.
As a taste of what to expect from the forthcoming four-track 12″, the label has unveiled the fairly eye-opening “Frankincense and Myrhh”, which finds Tsuzing throwing down air raid sirens, classic funk grunts and much more over a hellish array of gnarled up, recycled drum beats.
