TM404 resurfaces on Skudge White

Andreas Tilliander will release his first TM404 material since last year with a three-track 12″ next month.

Andreas Tilliander’s TM404 project provided one of last year’s most interesting debuts in the long player issued by Kontra-Musik. Created to explore his passion for various pieces of Roland machinery including the TB-303 Bass Line, and TR-606, TR-707, TR808 and MC-202 drum machines, the eight-track TM404 provided some of the most absorbing dub techno of the past several years. Tillliander’s productivity seems to have increased dramatically since, with a mini-album under his own name released of Frak’s Borft label last year, and the new Svaag alias set to debut on Semantica next month.

With Semantica boss Svreca tapped to rework material from that TM404 LP for a forthcoming Kontra 12″, news now arrives that Tilliander will return with some new TM404 material for a three-track 12″ on Skudge White next month. Judging from the previews below, Tilliander’s return as TM404 will feature some of the project’s most floor-focused material to date, with the robust sounds of “Bloka 2600” and the wavy, acid-heavy “Ununge” sounding particularly impressive on first listen.

Skudge White will release Skudge White 08 by TM404 in September.
