Patricia and Jahiliyya Fields are Inhalants

News of a collaboration between Opal Tapes artist Patricia and L.I.E.S. synth explorer Jahiliyya Fields first emerged last October when the former posted a queasy techno jam produced by the pair on SoundCloud. It now seems as if the duo are preparing their debut release under the name for L.I.E.S. with a three-track 12″ to be released later this month. In practice, the “No Hats” track streaming below is exactly the mid point between Patricia’s washed out deep house and Jahiliyya Fields’ excursions into analogue psychedelia and fuggy techno, combining codeine soaked chords and rubbery textures into the kind of confused structure that’s the sonic equivalent of sniffing glue.
