Ramp unveil Alice Ant material

The curiously named Alice Ant has long been considered a “new Ramp signee” and now the UK producer has a release for the label on the horizon – get a glimpse at what to expect. 

Due out in early June, The Alice Ant EP Part 1 sees Alice Ant join a healthy Ramp roster that includes the Young Echo collective, blurry-faced Gerry Read and Finnish squatsteppers Clouds. On the basis of woozy lead track “I Want You”, Alice Ant seems a perfect fit for Ramp; a lugubrious production, it gradually wraps its incandescent synth motif in suffocating, swinging percussive textures, and barely audible found sound, before dropping into silence.
