Listen: In Flagranti – Hannya

In Flagranti seem to be happily caught in an endless spool of recycling their stylistic approach, with their next release Skematic Tracks Vol. 2 somehow combining their trademark punk funk strut with moody, dubby techno influences. 

As demonstrated on the above creepy stop motion video, the reverb-laden lead track “Hannya” is particularly beguiling,with an off the grid rhythmic base that isn’t that dissimilar to Powell’s excellent Body Music EP that surfaced recently on Diagonal Recordings. The two track release is set to arrive next month, accompanied by a more house centric B Side in “Magojiro” which you can check here here – the vinyl version will apparently come with a (presumably lewd) free poster.
