Listen: Chairman Kato – Yeah You’re Right

London based producer Chairman Kato has returned from a brief production slumber with some new material in the shape of “Yeah You’re Right” parts one and two.

We last saw the Chairman on the Awkward Movements imprint with last year’s Science & Romance EP, which boasted remixes from Andres and Ekoplekz and rightly earned a spot in our Best Of 2011 list. On first listen “Yeah You’re Right” is even better than that release, with Part 1 a soupy, sluggish techno beast with booming toms, while Part 2’s landscapes are pockmarked by bomb craters filled with sub bass and twitching percussive ticks.
