Listen: Frosty Train Wreck mix

Something a bit different to ease you into the new week courtesy of Dublab stalwart Frosty, who delves into the world of Japanese psychedelia for the  Red Bull Music Academy Radio programming team.

The Dublab imprint overseen by Frosty and cohort Alejandro Cohen have been forging their own unique take on electronic music since the short-sighted days of Web 1.0 endeavours, streaming their own radio shows via the betamax style Real Player.

In the period since that late nineties boom and bust Dublab has grown exponentially into a multimedia node that Nathan Barley would be proud of; maintaining their radio show but also releasing records, filming documentaries and hosting gallery events and club nights. Amongst the  many names to have graced their roster are LA dandy Daedelus, lo-fi pinup Ariel Pink and high pitched folk harpy Joanna Newsom.

Frosty’s trainwreck mix for RBMA is a delightfully gentle if short exposition into Far Eastern music which will sooth even the harshest Monday morning hangover. Enjoy!
