To say that Karl O’Connor and Tony Childs’ British Murder Boys project was shocking is something of an understatement. For an Irish national, it brings back deeply unsettling memories of Thatcher’s cold-blooded shoot to kill policy in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. For a wider audience it makes reference, either directly or subliminally, to blasphemy, child abuse and state/military-led brutality and oppression.
Downwards will release some rare live material from the Regis and Surgeon project next month.

It’s not hard to understand why; after all, as individuals, Surgeon and Regis have provided us with some of the past two decades’ most uncompromising music, and the BMB project has in the past seen them pooling their talents to create truly provocative techno.
Full details have emerged of the new EP from British Murder Boys, the long dormant collaborative project of Surgeon and Regis.
