Monolithic bass promised as Kevin Martin hits town

Producer, composer and soundsystem destroyer Kevin Martin – whose radical leftfield tribute to Amy Winehouse, Black, was released today – will visit London this summer for a special The Bug (In Dub) extended DJ and effects session.

The night, at Corsica Studios in Elephant and Castle, South London on July 12, will see him embarking on an “epic, immersive and body-shaking three hour journey in monolithic bass, moving from elemental low-end ambient and original steppers into his own elemental vision of dub dancehall future.”

Martin, UK-raised but now based in Belgium after a stint in Berlin, has been concentrating on non-Bug projects of late, after scooping Juno Daily’s album of the year in 2021 with his Fire classic.

The evening runs from 10pm-4am.
