Live beat tracking allows the tiny mixer to generate a synced internal click track.
Teenage Engineering’s controversial TX-6 field mixer has been updated to firmware 1.2.5, with the major new feature being live beat tracking. The internal metronome can now synchronise with any incoming audio source, generating a click track in time with the beat, plus sending a clock signal over MIDI and Bluetooth. You can see how it works in the video above.
The ultra-portable TX-6 has already split opinion for its high price, but there’s no denying it packs genuinely professional features and sound quality into the smallest possible format. You can read our full review here.
The Teenage Engineering TX-6 is priced at £1,036.
