The new keyboard is a bigger brother to the excellent MicroFreak.
We’re big fans of Arturia’s unorthodox MicroFreak synth, so we’re excited to bring news of the brand’s new MiniFreak keyboard. The MiniFreak expands on the MicroFreak’s hybrid sound engine with full six-voice polyphony, dual sound engines and stereo effects.
Elsewhere, you’ll find the same combination of digital oscillators and analogue filters, including the excellent Mutable Instruments Plaits oscillator. This time around there’s a conventional 37-note keyboard rather than the unusual tactile interface found on the MicroFreak. You can see a full overview of the synth’s features and sound in the video above.
